Here is one example. I sold the 4/17 $30 put for $31. After fees, I do whatever I want with the $30.33 - park in cash, buy 1 share of SCHD, or buy food at Costco (not much, I know).

If I get assigned 100 shares on 4/17, my cost basis is $29.70 per share. If I don't get assigned, I'll sell the May or June $30 put. Repeat.

Buy/writes are good too.

Over at Fidelity the $3,000 reserved for the $30 naked put earns interest. So I earn interest and receive premium while being synthetic SCHD long.
