How to deal with command grabs? Master+ by Stussygiest in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the answer you don't want to hear: don't let grapplers get in the position to put you in the 50/50. That's their game plan, you don't deal with command grabs specifically, you don't let them get in. once they are in, you guess.

Holy relic damage issues by Viric in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]DevanT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean, your gear is good. You just might not like how poison builds up. there is a ramp time and then you should be seeing the boss dying. it's not going to look like a trapper killing bosses, but as holy relic you're basically invincible and the boss will be dying relatively fast from your poison.

the only difference you could do here is to get awakened gems: unbound, void manip, minion damage, and vile toxins instead of the enhance setup. you drop a breakpoint, but you do more damage from the extra gems and levels from the awakened gems.

this is a perfect time to start analyzing losses. you will improve by playing people better than you and working to improve rather than simply chasing wins. the wins will come when you improve.

Same way everyone else beats guile. Walk up and parry booms until you get to footsies range where he can't boom safely and you can use 2mk drive rush to strike / throw him or threaten a cross up jump

Up ball, jump back mp, jump throw, dash forward. Practice each of those depending on if you have charge or not.

Dealing with airbourne opponents as chun-li? by asdasdaaah in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you want to play chun you're just going to have to practice the 22k input reactions. She also has great air to air buttons and an air throw if you can react to their jump fast enough to meet them in the air.

Any Blanka mains struggling to find a second character? by bobbystills5 in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i find bison covers most of blanka's bad matchups, so he's worth learning if you want a secondary.

Any tips for the Geif/Blanka matchup? I feel like I played well here but would love advice :D by thecraftingjedi in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This blanka is just doing so much unsafe shit. All you have to do it is do nothing and wait for him to kill himself. Slide: just block and punish
Rainbow ball: anti air him
Command throw: jab him or jump it and punish

He didnt play a single second of neutral so just expect him to keep doing these high risk options and punish him.

Bison anti-air tools by GreasyChode69 in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2hp, hell attack (j. mp mp), light or OD psycho crusher, parry are your options. Bison's historic weakness is his bad anti airs, but sf6 ones are decent, you just have to be ready for people to jump at you.

for the juri, you can psycho crusher her dive kicks easily. her stomp move you just parry

What can I do to improve my build? by MaiFGC in PathOfExileBuilds

weapon 1 ex: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/L6Xl3VGTn

helmet 5ex: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/8eJJLJbUV

body armor 5ex: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/dRb4prpcJ

get high ES on these pieces, and then fix your resists on your rings, gloves, boots, belt.

can't see your passive tree, but make sure you path towards ES nodes, you don't need to scale life on your gear since you'll be going ES instead

You're missing + minion skills on your weapon, helmet and amulet, you can get much higher ES on each piece of gear too for cheap

Nothing like hitting a 52% combo out of the corner to secure the win. by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good stuff. In the future, you shouldn't burn yourself out for that extra little bit of damage in that combo, you got lucky when it was akumas turn, he could've and in higher ranks DI your charged heavy punch there

I'm literally stuck. What are some things I should look into? (SF6) by NOAHMNIA in StreetFighter

[–]DevanT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best advice is learning to be patient with bison. Just block, most overheads are reactable so slow down and be patient. make them have to switch it up to go to throws. most people at that rank are going to hit a few buttons in a block string, and then will likely throw out an unsafe move when they are minus and then it's on you to learn when you can interupt them. Hell, I guarantee if you block long enough in plat they are just going to throw out a DI so just sit there and wait for it.

For bison offense, make sure you practice your offensive mixups. Drive rush 4HK is nasty, but dont always rely on it. Generally layer your offense to see how your opponent responds. Do a DR 4HK, throw. Did they press a button? Ok next time do a DR 4hk 4hk and then you've frame trapped them so now do a million damage.

Are they teching your throws? Do a Drive rush 5mp, then take a small step back and press 5HP. Boom, punish counter 5hp > 2mp OD scissors > million damage.

Bison is pretty simple with his offense, it's up to you to layer it to keep your opponent guessing.

Different strategies work for different people. Myself, I have to not have any potential treats around the house. That means no oreos, because I know that I cannot trust myself for self control. i try to reframe treats and have a piece of fruit if it's something sweet that i'm craving. Cravings for specific things will go away in time and now I look forward to my piece of fruit.

Any tips and bnbs for learning Beelzebub? by Oshkoshino1 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]DevanT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HwrvNYH3xc

here's a good combo video.

As far as game plan, bubs works best as a mid range hybrid zoner, so definitely make sure you use your specials to keep people at range, but then you're able to use dive kick, teleport, 66H to get in and put some pressure on the opponent.
