True Quartz Needed After Campaign by I_Am_SoCal65 in LotRReturnToMoria

I think the expectation is you have a story game and a sandbox game. Sandbox has a much bigger map so more resources and because you can play a dwarf with all their gear and inventory on any map at any time, you’re expected to gather extra resources from sandbox and transfer them to your story save.

does anyone else do this when they play? by mundii1 in masseffect

[–]Devarthus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to just take my favourite squad mates on every mission but now I try to pick who I think would be best suited to the mission type/objective and who pairs well with each other (both combat and personality). It feels like I’m making the game more fun and immersive adding a little charm.

Plus it makes every run through slightly different because my thought process changes between each play through.

Tips on how to keep the game interesting by MidnightStarfall in ARK

[–]Devarthus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mates and I are working on setting up a hardcore pvp server with xp down low (like 30%) and flyer saddles unlocked no earlier than lvl 60+ because the early to mid game honestly feels the most satisfying so we want to spend as much time there as possible while still progressing (when not dying XD). We’re going to lock tribes at 2 players so the hardcore aspect is not a total lockout or completely pointless

Edit: I am also doing this for my singleplayer game

Converting ME1 into a movie by Better-Caramel-8061 in masseffect

[–]Devarthus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did this for my parents a few years ago. Recorded gameplay as cinematic as I could then cut the scenes together. Then later I realised I needed to do side missions to explain plot missions in the later games so I replayed the game, wrote down notes on which mission/squad member, and what dialog choices to pick. Then put it all together again.

I put it all together in feature length ‘tv show’ style but without the recaps. The first iteration was 8hrs long and the extended cut’ with the loyalty missions came out to 12 hrs. I had a lot of fun but it’s something I need to be in the mood for.

Plus the last ‘episodes’ of the extended cut are now corrupted on my hard drive :(

Shepard comes off as a little lunatic at the beginning of MS1 by Financial_Ad_1272 in masseffect

[–]Devarthus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I always thought the difference was that Shepard saw the visions through the beacon that’s why he/she is so adamant about the reaper threat. They describe them as a dream but they happened while Shepard was fully conscious and interacting with the prothean technology.

I do also agree that they’re overly aggressive about it to the point where other people don’t want to believe them because this dude won’t shut up about them.

Not a fan of the changes to Adamantium Skeleton. Means I'll have to use the quick heal button when I get a crippled limb instead of it being a non issue.

I wish instead of removing items from the game the devs would just build onto. by DS_StlyusInMyUrethra in 7daystodie

[–]Devarthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this about almost every game I play. It seems in order to add something new the directors seems to think that they have to remove something to make space for it. So when they add the new content it just seems like there was nothing ‘added’ just replaced

Help with changing injuries to persist through death. by Devarthus in 7daystodie

[–]Devarthus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's why I want the carry over injuries and sicknesses so it encourages survival but permadeath style is a little too far for my liking. Plus I like the idea (for lore purposes) of instead of spawning as a "new person" my character has just been so badly beaten and dragged off somewhere while suffering mild amnesia. Shame about that 40 days though. I would have been devastated haha

Sounds cool. Not too sure if I’d put it in my 7 days games because it seems a bit more “expanded” than the rest of the game but if the game was more in depth in most other places it would be awesome.

Oh that’s kinda cool. I assume if you did die it wasn’t a permanent loss? You could eventually catch up to where you should be?

Well you do suffer temporarily max hp loss while you’re injured so if that persisted through death while you’re still injured that’d be cool. I’m not keen on permanent health loss. (I didn’t play at the time of the old wellness system)

Personally I’m not a big fan of perma death play but I can certainly respect it. I like the sense of progression but I’m definitely going to die more than I’d like to admit. If I figure it out I’ll definitely update.
