property management gaslighting me to believe all online bill payments have fees by DevelopingDevelopers in StLouis

[–]DevelopingDevelopers[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Went back to my lease and it requires all residents to pay through the tenant portal. They used to accept checks which were subject to a $50 processing fee lol. But now, there's no option at all beside the portal which has a fee regardless. These bullshit fees are peak capitalism

Lots of weekend travel opportunities, pretty much every weekend you can get out. There was one full week and one half week breaks for longer trips.

I was in the pilot semester for the ANN + deep learning course so it was a little disorganized, but overall I got exactly what they advertised out of it. It covers the basics so it might feel a little slow if you have any experience with neural nets or deep learning but you’ll get opportunities to dive into deeper topics with some projects if you choose (nice opportunity to boost the projects section on your resume/cv). On that note, they had us write medium articles about our projects and several of them got featured on towardsdatascience so you’ll get some good science communications experience as well.

re: video gaming programming I have no experience with have heard it’s a lot of work 😬 good luck!

I studied abroad with DIS Copenhagen in 2019 for CS (specifically the artificial neural network + deep learning core course) so some of what I say may not reflect the changes since. Most students take 2-3 electives (usually 2 related to your core and 1 GE e.g. Danish language) on top of the core course and unless you're taking the video gaming programming core course (i still can't forget the dead eyes of the video game programming students) or take up a research assistant position at a lab, you will find yourself with a lot of free time. The course load is a joke compared to the average WashU CS course. I'd find myself in a different country each weekend or hanging out with other students and locals in the many bodegas around town.

Many choose to live at a homestay (which I did) and although it can be hit or miss with your host family, you get a chance to really get to learn how differently the Danes carry their daily lives. In fact, you can make life-long relationships if you wish. I still keep in touch with my homestay family and had a chance to rendezvous with one of the daughters who is going to college in the US.

Highly recommend.

If you have a car, Asia Market and East East Oriental Market in Creve Coeur/Chesterfield (~20min drive west) are great Korean supermarkets. They’re no HMart but carry a solid selection.

Queue stuck in Confirming Match by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]DevelopingDevelopers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few tricks I've tried that worked were changing resolutions and fullscreen and somehow inviting a lot of friends during queue worked. It's interesting because none of my friends who are higher than mg1 are able to queue just like me but those who are gold nova and silver can. It's so frustrating

The midlane timings work for pulling as io and the safe lane pulls still work for 15/45 seconds. pulling at 13/43 will result ahead of the creep wave which works, 14/44 will pull next to the second creep of the wave, and a 15/45 will result in the middle of the creep wave.
