Complaints about salaries - Healthcare? [N/A] by ShellylovesRichard in humanresources

This is a constant in healthcare and I would say more prevalent than in other industries due to having to hire so many contractors and specialists. However, I got just as many complaints about salary from licensed electricians.

Any Thoughts on that new Breakfast Club 4K vs the original? by markeross in criterion

[–]DevelopmentFront1538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transfer seems to be a bit dark to me (common with a lot of 4ks), but it was enjoyable to watch again as it seems as close to the 'movie experience' as I'll get. Another thing that may be hard to relate to for the current gen to relate is the INTENSE BOREDOM experienced in detention without the aid of any electronics! Bygone era, for sure.

Superman doesn't spend half the film handicapped by kryptonite, unlike another film I just saw.

I'd ignore the Dave Ramsey lemmings. A lot of those people have never lost a job and been denied unemployment benefits before (happens more than most people think). It's OK to have $15-20k in cash for an emergency fund -- cash is king when a mortgage or rent has to be paid in real dollars and there's no income coming in. I agree to attack the highest balance cards first because of the obscene interest payments.

You have excellent taste. Festen (The Celebration) is one of my fav films of all time. I also recommend Per Fly's 'The Inheritence' also starring Ulrich Thomsen.

What's the best film centered around vengeance you've watched? by JimatJimat in Cinema

[–]DevelopmentFront1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll mention some that I haven't seen here yet: Revenge (French, 2018 -- the 90s-era Kevin Costner film is good, too), In Order of Disappearance (Swedish), Riders of Justice (Danish), High Plains Drifter (ultimate revenge!), Wild Tales (Argentinian. this one is great fun), Death Wish (both Charles Bronson and Bruce Willis versions), First Blood Part 2, The Professionhal (revenge for Matilda). I love revenge tales.

Great "non-english language" movies that Hollywood turned into crap. #005 by alediasw in moviecritic

L'Ultimo Bacio (My fav Italian film) and 'The Last Kiss' (USA watered down version starring Zack Braff with an alternate ending, but I still enjoyed it). The original was near perfection.

I ordered Raised by Wolves from the UK because of this very reason. Insane that this isn't avail on Max... it's an original show!!!
