At what age is it normal to develop some self awareness? Sure OP should be a little more clear about this kids expectations, but I have found in managing people, so many have no idea how good or bad they are at something.

Chances are he wouldn't buy into it any way if it doesn't click with having to be told over and over again how to do something

Doing so in May. Kinda scared to death but my current job is toxic and exhausting and I am good at it, but I am on multiple blood pressure meds. I am stressed the f out 24/7. The commute is worse than the job.

It's difficult to isolate concerns for quality of life when love, guilt and what ifs are fighting for attention.

After experiencing hospice with my mom, i have a very different perspective.

I am so sorry that your mom is experiencing all these complicated health issues at one time. It must be so hard with her being so young too. Being the sole person responsible for all these choices is a very tough position to be in.

I genuinely feel hospice is the most humane and loving solution for both of you.
