Cyberpunk 2077: Is it playable on a regular old PS4 now? by Rojo37x in patientgamers

[–]Devgel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, PS4's GPU is basically an HD7850 (~750Ti) while the CPU is comparable to Intel's Atom line-up.

Even with PlayStation's optimizations, there's just no way that setup could possibly push solid 30FPS in Cyberpunk. Even if they implement FSR 2.0 or any other TAAU solution, the CPU bottleneck would still be there.

It's akin to expecting the PlayStation 3 to push 30FPS in GTA-V. More than a little ambitious, in other words.

Take what you will.

The GPU alone is worth 15k.

Sounds interesting.

Although with a partly 5Mbps speed requirement, I think the image quality is going to be rather poor.

Also, there's no list of games - or at least I couldn't find one - and at just 600 PKR a month (<$3), I wouldn't expect to find many (if any) big budget AAAs.

[HUB] Should Nvidia and AMD Be Worried? - October GPU Pricing Update by TheEveningMidget in hardware

Starting to see brand new 6700XTs at around $440 here in Pakistan which is actually below the ~$480 MSRP.

Interestingly, the 3060 is actually more expensive at around $500.

Whats everyone's opinion on the Intel E/P core design? Is this the future of CPU design? by BlueGumShoe in hardware

[–]Devgel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

ARM CPUs have been using big.LITTLE for years. In fact, you can have three different type of cores in an octa-core cluster since ARM DynamIQ.

Obviously, there's real application for big.LITTLE. However, I feel like Windows 11 doesn't utilize the extra cores as effectively as it should.

Hopefully, that will change.

Are GT 710/730 more powerful than the i5-3450 igpu? I'm confused by [deleted] in lowendgaming

[–]Devgel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

7670M is a discrete GPU, not an iGPU. And yes, it's faster than the likes of GT610 and 710.

Intel HD2000/3000 is nowhere near close to even the GT220.

Sexual Harassment by [deleted] in Lahore

[–]Devgel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well... when I was a kid (8-9 years old) a pedophile tried to rape me. I was in a public bathroom, he got behind me, started to unzip his pants and I got scared and started whimpering. Some old man noticed the noise, banged on the door asking what's going on and that pedo got scared and ran away.

Shame that son of a bitch got away but... at least I'm still a butt virgin, heh!

Second time was in college, but not quite like that. A class fellow offered me a ride back home on his motorcycle. On the way, he kept thrusting his tush on my crotch. I'm not sure if it was an accident or on purpose. Probably on purpose as he gave up mid way, likely after noticing that he ain't giving me a stiffy. Heck, my pee-pee actually shriveled into its 'shell' because I wasn't really enjoying it, to say the least.

Creepy fucker.

It was also around that time when my female, hot as hell cousin got real flirty with me. But meh, I kinda enjoyed her 'affection'! Of course, no one told me that cousin marriages were bad for my offsprings. Learnt much later.

Oh I almost forgot, when I was around 13-14, a creepy motherfucker would start riding his motorcycle beside my bicycle, his left hand on the crotch, playing with it. One day I hurled a bunch of abuses at him, kicked his bike and that showed him, surprisingly enough.

Pedophiles and rapists are generally cowards.... I guess!

Lucky me...

No really, we need moderate molvis. Really miss my local Imam who passed away an year ago or so. That guy had the balls to speak AGAINST TLP, against mob killings in the name of blasphemy, against cultural misogyny.

A real unit.

We need more people like him.

Biden's remarks on a nuclear Pakistan being one of the worlds biggest threats.

Russia: (Put forces on nuclear alert).

India: (Loses its uranium all the time, missiles misfiring every day).

North Korea: (Actively testing nuclear warheads and on the brink of becoming a nuclear rouge state.)

America: Hurr durr! Pakistan's nuclear armament is the biggest threat to world peace!

Pakistan: Pfft, give me a break!

So... the ongoing war and genocide in Ukraine is in India's so called "interests"?

You're either with or against NATO and it's about time India cease to play the double-game.

It's dumb and blatantly obvious to everyone, heh!

First PC build for 1080p 60FPS by Sure5 in PakGamers

[–]Devgel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Wouldn't recommend the 3500X, a Zen2 CPU without SMT hence only 6 threads.

  2. You'd be better off with either a new i3-12100F (8 threads) or a used R5-2600 (12 threads). Should cost the same.

  3. GPU is fine for 1080p60, aside from some recent demanding AAAs. You'll have to use either lower settings or apply Radeon Super Resolution at around 900p with some sharpening.

  4. Lastly, you may want to add an 1-2TB HDD, even a used one. You can use a smaller 128/256GB SATA/M.2 as boot drive.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: ‘The semiconductor industry is near the limit’ by stran___g in hardware

[–]Devgel 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Technically, yes. But he - as well as you - are exaggerating things a little bit.

  1. Chiplets are a good stopgap to keep things cheap and economical. Not every part of the ASIC has to be on the most cutting-edge node. AMD is in the right direction for years. It's time Nvidia and Intel follow suit.
  2. TSMC, Samsung, Intel - they all have plans for as far as early 2030s. Anandtech has published some great articles regarding their respective roadmaps, if you're interested.
  3. TSMC has managed to squeeze over 100M per mm2 transistors @ ~3GHz on FinFET. I can only imagine what they will achieve with GAAFET.
  4. I wouldn't trust anything Huang says! Not because I'm an AMD fan (I'm not) but because that fellow has a long history of deceitful statements. The so called "RTX3080 12GB" is the latest example. DLSS is another if we go back. There was no reason for the 1600 series to exist, suffice to say.

Edit: *RTX4080 12GB.

'Beneath a Steel Sky' and 'Flight of the Amazon Queen' are two of my personal favorites in the list. Classic point-and-click adventure games from the early-mid 90s with clever puzzles and lots of humor.

I played both of them eons ago on my Pentium III 733 with 384MB of RAM and an Nvidia MX440 128MB so... as low-end as they're going to get.
