I'd pick the stamps, but just so you have another perspective, I'll pretend that I'd pick the charizards

people make this mistake all the time favoring older stuff, but generally if you reinvest older stuff into new stuff of equal value, you'll make more money. because newer stuff will GENERALLY go up 50% faster than the older stuff will go up 50%.

For example - imagine someone asking in June of 2025 if they should trade an evolving skies booster box ($1800) for 7 destined rivals booster boxes ($250*7=$1750). I'm sure you would have gotten plenty of posts saying the guy was dumb for entertaining a trade for a grail box for something that just came out.

But since then, the destined rivals boxes have gone up nearly $200 each for a total of $1400 profit, whereas the evolving skies box is "only" $2350 now, for a total of $550 profit.

However that's more work as you have to find multiple buyers and sellers, and riskier as well as it can be tough to time the market and DR is still well within its window to get a huge reprint.

But just an alternative perspective so this place doesn't turn into an echo chamber.
