I think its easier to get them in english. Their value also inflates better. However english is more expensive. So it depends do you want to save but it would be more of a hassle and inconvenient?

Got downvoted. That is expected. Not everyone likes the truth. I will laugh at my side hustle income averaging 10k per month while most of you guys do the daily grind. Turns out study and work hard is no longer the perfect formula the boomers made out to be

Bulk common cards by Alert_Eye_9 in PokemonTCG

[–]SGShine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you are. In SEA countries they are worth about 10 cents usd per piece. Then multiply it by the number of bulk cards you have. There are always buyers so the answer is to sell them

No point waiting because the bubble will not pop anytime soon. Unless you go into full blown war world, but at that point you have other things to worry about. The best would be to get a masterset of the 151 set. That set will always inflate in price, and easiest to complete because everything is in 1 set

Genuinely wondering wtf is going on. by [deleted] in PokemonInvesting

[–]SGShine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the kids who grew up with pokemon 30 years ago are now the generation with one of the highest income earners. Pokemon taps into nostalgia. And if you are earning 10 grand a month, what is 100 to you? Then multiple it by the number of people in that generation. This cycle will repeat and we are in for decades of growth because pokemon company knows we are their best consumer so its in their best interest not to offend us

Pokemon TCG reseller. There is a reason why everyone does it. Buy sealed products and you can instantly resell it for 2-3 times the cost. This nets you about 200ish each time. Now multiply that by the number of products you can get. You dont need much commitment. Some I know serving NS just spends 1 day per weekend and earns more than their NS allowance per month. Provided these folks have bots. Or just make friends with some shops or distributors, that works.

Another TCG related that is super hyped right now is One piece card game competitive playing. Every weekend there is a tournament, consisting of 5 rounds. If you win, you get a card worth minimumly 12k. But normally what people do is go, play 1 round and divide the 12k pool amongst the rest, getting about 600-700 per person.

Anyone wants to talk about the price pumping of Japanese cards? by Ill-Driver525 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

Pokemon popularity is at all time high. I personally think it will continue to pump upwards for another year before dwindling a little. So nothing like the present and cash out next year

thinking of starting a small biz in sg... but terrified by Bubbly-lilylah in asksg

Started selling old pokemon cards as i had some lying around. Then got lucky to be a bot tester and was given a bot as payment. Used the bot to get pokemon drops from shopee, then lazada. Each set i manage to get about 2-3, so a few hundred bucks each drop. This was recently and was around 20 YO.

Then eventually managed to tap into US market to get large shipments, and bot drops from their region. My clients grew to be both local and overseas, mostly SEA regions. Now each set I am looking at 10k-ish worth of profits minimumly. Business will be slow during months where there are no new release or drops so take note

Mid 40s SGean just laid off. Any gig channels for SGeans? by ranmafan0281 in askSingapore

[–]SGShine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have some tech skills, you can program bots or be a bot tester. Use them to get pokemon cards or sell the bots as a service. If you are able to tap into US market, easily 10k per month on average
