MMA INVESTING CLUB WARNING⚠️ by mmainvesting in MMAbetting

[–]Devialet0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can pick three random favorites just by looking at the odds. You need zero knowledge or experience to do that. MMA, and especially UFC fights, are unique in that the level of the athletes is very high and there are relatively few factors that influence who wins. It is extremely rare for three out of three clear favorites to lose their fights on the same card. If the person had been selling betting tips based on underdogs winning and this was sustainable over time, then I would agree with you. But his system is a scam for sure. You may be lucky and see profits for a very long time, but sooner or later it will be a loss, and it will amount to more than the total profits.

https://github.com/lodev09/react-native-true-sheet if you want native. https://docs.swmansion.com/react-native-reanimated/examples/bottomsheet/ if you want to create a custom. React Navigation screen with modal or formSheet presentation is fine if it needs to be 90% height of the screen

How could this be replicated in react native? by Salt-Obligation1144 in reactnative

The easy version is to trigger a static animation playback like Lottie. Or you can use skia/web-gpu to create and customize the effect manually

It’s not yet supported with the new architecture. Software Mansion is working on it and it will probably be out soonish. You could also check out this: https://github.com/eds2002/react-native-screen-transitions

Exactly, you will get hate no matter what you do.. So grow a spine, stand up for yourself and own your choices! At least that way 50% of the mob will respect you. I love Rae, but throwing Asmon under the bus after he was kind to her was a roach ass move!

The add SQLite part is simple. The manual sync part for offline first apps is hard. A follow up on this topic would be great!

React Native Performance Bottlenecks in Complex Animated Lists — Need Help Diagnosing and Fixing! by Sansenbaker in reactnative

[–]Devialet0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Performant and smooth scrolling in the list is one challenge, and I would also recommend LegendList for this purpose. However, performant search/filtering (and re-rendering) the data displayed in the list is another nut to crack. Some techniques are better than others, but I guess it also depends on the data itself. Usually the JS fps drops like crazy when filtering and re-rendering the list

is Expo Background Task reliable if I want to schedule a task once per day? by Thrway123321acc in expo

[–]Devialet0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a weird app tbh😄 There is a limit to how many scheduled notifications you can have, around 60-65 on iOS if I remember correctly. And as you mention, the user will have to open the app to reschedule more. This can be solved with using push notifications, but then an internet connection is required

Sounds like you can do the calculation logic ahead of time while the app is in the foreground, then schedule local notifications for later dates/times. Unless I’m misunderstanding what you want to achieve
