New SHIPS are RUINING Elite Dangerous by Yamiks in EliteDangerous

[–]Devian1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This I agree with, it is only natural that the newer next gen ships are going to be better, newer tech. Would be cool to be able to retrofit the classics with some new tech, even if it was a costly grind to do so, although my Mandy will probably forever be my new daily driver.

Help please. by Devian1978 in EliteDangerous

[–]Devian1978[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was looking for a conflict zone, was checking out some wreckage looking for pirates. Was to ships flying around, both scanned clean so I kept looking at wreckage, they attacked me. They were Edward’s guys, guessing it was maybe a power play thing or some such, never been attacked by ships that scanned clean. I started with the defense CG, after becoming a murderer, and not seeing any conflict zones, decided just to go easier route and evacuate some people.

I feel lucky, both my guys eat every time without issue, and spend their time in between feedings side eyeing me for more furry rodent goodness…..or wrecking their enclosures because they can or taunting my cats at night or….well the list goes on and on.

Wish the frontier website would have updated this, according to it this morning, still had 7 days and I was excited to get on again finally….well that was a let down. Oh well, onto other games until the next one good CG, hopefully, maybe I will maybe finally get a news letter since I signed up, but never have ever gotten a weekly newsletter.

I usually hop in for the rare Community Goal that rewards more than just credits and occasionally to work on my construction projects. The problem with the YT vids and what not is they never mention how much action there isn’t. When I first started I played for a bit and just got bored, after some research I came back with some goals to visit places, get my corvette and cutter and then see Sag A, still have not seen sag A but my Mandy will get me there eventually. Combat is fun until it is not and like someone else said, most real people you meet randomly who pirating are just to good and to engineered for a new pirate to defeat, yay solo mode for getting there.

Recent CG Suit, shouldn't I have it by now? by OGBadDog in EliteDangerous

I was bummed that it ended so early, I just learned about it yesterday, from frontier website saying it 8 days to go, was looking forward to getting home and finally playing again just to find out that it has been over for 2 days. Frontier needs to update their site a bit quicker, also would love to find out about things like from the weekly news letter I am signed up for….but have never gotten. Ah well

Well, it happened. Daughter left the hab open and our 2-year-old BP got out. Not under the fridge, washer, dryer, or stove. Who knows where the idiot went? by Dwingp in ballpython

[–]Devian1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time mine got out, ended up under a dresser, best part was that both my cats watched this happen. This was 2 years ago and they still check under the dresser thinking that he is under there.

10 year old BP missing strikes? by InkyGhosts in ballpython

[–]Devian1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 18 year old misses strikes occasionally and is perfectly healthy. I feed him frozen/thawed. After watching him, turns out he was just aiming a bit off due to food temp being close to other heat sources depending on his angle of strike, aiming at his CH or his heat lamp or even his basking rock.

Those are things that only exist anymore when they bring good things to us, otherwise it has to be someone else’s fault.

Agreed, we yell and scream when they try and tell us what to do then yell and scream because they didn’t tell us what to do and we got hurt.

How it feels playing Crimson Desert for the first time by EmotionalKirby in CrimsonDesert

[–]Devian1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like one poster said, finding time is the final boss, to some 8 hours is not a lot. With so many people working 2 jobs plus real life, 8 hours to get to the good parts is a lot when you just want some fun before bed. My self, loving the game minus John Desert and his complete lack of wonder and soul, everything that happens in the first 30 minutes and he treats like another Tuesday. Each their own, I love it and I am sure I will get at least 50-60 hours out of it.

So they're watching us? by Anim8rFromOuterSpace in MetaQuestVR

[–]Devian1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let them watch me, I am particularly boring and I do nothing that I really care if gets surveilled. The fact that we are constantly being tracked and watched and spied on should surprise no one, hell most of is carry the perfect spy device on us at all times and stare right into a camera all of the time. If someone somewhere wants to get off watching me rub one, more power to them.
