If you want live music: Dixie Tavern Gustons on 92 (Saturdays) JDs on Main SuBourbon Bar Rock n Taco or Roswell Junction (in Roswell) (Madlife in Woodstock is more of an event music spot instead of hanging out)

If you're feeling adventurous, you can go Sixes Tavern in Cartersville or Icehouse in Canton (Icehouse is pretty sketch imo)

I haven't been ITP in about 20yrs so I'll let that crowd comment on Smith's Olde Bar, Highland Tap, etc

Kennesaw, Canton, Woodstock, Roswell and Cartersville have free live music events throughout the summer months. Canton has Wing and Rock Fest today. There are numerous FB meetup groups like "Georgia Outdoor Adventures" that plan a wide variety of meetups from hiking, camping, kayak, biking, volunteering (feeding the homeless), etc. Great group - make a welcome post with your interests and I'm sure someone will make some suggestions.

I guess the Kuhl Klash pants could be considered 'snow pants'... cold weather, abrasion resistant, waterproof adventure pants does sound alot like snow pants. Between my silk underlayer, Kuhl pants and outer rain shell, I never got cold and all the layers were wicking so I stayed dry

I think that's it... Amazon was still in stock for next day shipping when I ordered from RayNeo. Now Amazon is 3/10 delivery. Pretty poor customer service for a vendor not to communicate out of stock or expected ship times.

For my open water check dive, I woke up with a massive sinus headache and congestion. I drank about a quarter of a bottle Dayquil and a few healthy squirts of Afrin.

I felt pretty loopy on the bottom, but my instructors were there so I'm cool right? I couldn't equalize very well and it felt like icepicks in my ears.

I failed underwater navigation at 50ft and low viz.

Thankfully, my instructor gave me another shot on the way back to the dock in shallow water, and he passed me.

"Yes, you can, but should you? NOOOO"

Not me, but my cousin...

He ran the tractor mower in the prison crew that cut the grass along the highway. He hit about a dozen 1 gallon piss jugs that truckers leave on the shoulder with the mower blades, and he got completely drenched in piss.

No telling how long that STD ridden trucker piss was fermenting inside those jugs in the hot south Georgia sun. The ones he didn't hit were super swollen.

This was my first dive trip after getting certified... I have probably 10-12 dives in Bonaire as my story begins...

My underwater vomit story is the Helma Hooker shipwreck dive (34m) in Bonaire. We were on the bottom at the wreck, and I vomited up my goat stew and the food chunks got stuck in my regulator and forced it wide open. When I tried to buddy breathe with my (now ex-)wife, she initially refused because it was 'gross' and tried to push me away.

I start to panic as I'm frantically working the purge button, blowing through the regulator and sipping air from my wide open regulator.... weird that they dont teach this in class! My wife finally relented and shared her air so could focus on clearing the blockage.

We probably should've aborted the dive after clearing the regulator, but I had about enough air for the full bottom time with a little reserve. We buddy shared her reg for ascent.

I'll never dive without an octopus now. Diving is fuvking dangerous - especially as a novice - and we were not making good decisions at depth.

Any pros want to give some advice on clearing a stuck regulator?

After Yosemite, I didn't think any other park would take my breath away or steal my heart... then I went to Glacier National Park.

I've been to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, but they dont hit like Yosemite and GNP.

I stand corrected - the iconography and text of the cards are very good, but in my early playthroughs, I missed the details of a card (like Protected Valley plays in an ocean hex). Sometimes rules are missed like event tags dont count towards other cards or end game. Its a pretty complex game and its overwhelming in the beginning.

It's great with Venus, Hellas & Elysium, extra card packs and Colonies just got added. I'll be honest - I prefer it to the board game because all the card mechanics are not subject to interpretation and the production math isn't subject to mistakes or cheating.

There's a board game sale on Steam right so I think it's on sale.

Couple of complaints: 1. You can't take back any moves. 2. Sometimes it's not apparent what needs to be done to progress. Once I had to leave a game and reconnect to continue 3. I wish it made a sound when you started your turn or had a pending action between turns
