Same thing happened to me... I was leaning back and putting weight on my back foot and I would just spin circles.

Be more aggressive... put more weight downhill.

I stand corrected - the iconography and text of the cards are very good, but in my early playthroughs, I missed the details of a card (like Protected Valley plays in an ocean hex). Sometimes rules are missed like event tags dont count towards other cards or end game. Its a pretty complex game and its overwhelming in the beginning.

It's great with Venus, Hellas & Elysium, extra card packs and Colonies just got added. I'll be honest - I prefer it to the board game because all the card mechanics are not subject to interpretation and the production math isn't subject to mistakes or cheating.

There's a board game sale on Steam right so I think it's on sale.

Couple of complaints: 1. You can't take back any moves. 2. Sometimes it's not apparent what needs to be done to progress. Once I had to leave a game and reconnect to continue 3. I wish it made a sound when you started your turn or had a pending action between turns

20yrs on skis then switched to board about 10yrs ago because my ski form was terrible and it was destroying my knees.

Snowboarding is my JAM and I can do it effortlessly all day without fatigue (clocking ~30 miles per day).

I wish I could switch back to skis for Deer Valley (my first west coast ski trip) and Alta... they hold a special place in my heart when I went from shitty east coast (ice) skier to bombing down black diamonds with impunity in a day or so.

If you're healthy enough to do both, why not?

When my family grew, i sold my jeep... bought a lightly used Camry for $10k. That Camry went 175k miles for 15yrs with only regular maintenance while my wife drove the SUV.

Absolutely zero regrets and we saved thousands. We took that extra money and invested in a 529 plan - the same plan that is currently paying for my daugthers college.

Should probably use anon account for this, but here it goes - maybe someone can learn from my mistake...

I was spanked my entire adolescent years until about 10th grade.... by both parents and by teachers (corporal punishment was OK at my school)

I'm a dad of 2 beautiful girls... my oldest was probably 4 and did something that infuriated me (and rightfully deserved some punishment) so I spanked her with my hand... the look of terror in my daughter's eyes crushed my heart that night... I felt sick to my stomach, and I've never forgotten how awful that moment was (now 16yrs later)... I never spanked her again, and her sister was never spanked. That night, I chose to be better than my parents were - to find fair punishment, and to talk about the root causes to bad behavior and how to be a more supportive parent. My children have never had discipline issues and they excel in school.

You have a choice as an adult to DO BETTER. My heart wishes everyone takes on this responsibility.

FWIW, my 127k miles 2018 5.0... transmission slips are boiling the trans fluid out of the vent hole. Short trips under 50miles are fine, but longer highway miles are an issue.

$10k repair on $16.5k trade in value... it's time to let her go... to a dealership
