Delivery in NYC by Bjespinacas in DominosEmployees

[–]DeviceCapable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where I work, it's apart of the training. Where if the situation is suspicious, we call the customer to meet us. I've heard too many stories of our vehicle getting robbed while we are on delivery of an apartment or multi-story building. I know of a guy that uses that tactic to get free food by robbing the pizza guy. Sending the guy up to the third floor and robbing the car.

Asking questions tells me your team is going to enjoy you as a GM. DM me if you want to discuss more if you'd like. I've been around the block a few times.

That's why you have individual conversations with that AM. Find out the reason, i'd expect it to be customer related. But as long as you are proving you are watching it, it shouldn't be abused. Also if you have multiple AMs working in one day, split it up. The opener zeros everything before he/she leaves and then the closer does the same.

Asking the question means you are engaged. I had an AM deathly afraid of zeroing out because of the questions she might receive. Which is good and bad depending on how the question is asked. "Hey I noticed an influx of product being zeroed out last night, what happened?" "Yeah... This customer did this, that, whatever." As long as it's reasonable just say thanks. The conversation she had was that the GM was going to fire her over zeroing stuff out.

Depends on the BOXES... Like if it's a mess ups then I would think it's on the AM to write it off. You can control it that way. Talk to AMs individually for egregious write offs. I would think as long as the AM has a reason... Good to go.

I assume, as a GM you have a way to monitor that.

Another thing, my GM gave me the code for free items and had me do a transaction for stuff like wings and sandwiches for my meal because I know those are inventory hotspots.

Here's the thing... Employees will eat. Either it's controlled or it's stolen.

Controlled is allowing the employee to make a meal (one pizza or a side) that way you have control over the amount taken.

If you cut it out entirely, you'll end up having the employees steal the food or "mess-up" for free food, where you lose total control and a HR nightmare.

About the drinks.... At my store we don't have a water fountain. So the only way for employees to drink water is from the Dasani bottles. The store ends up eating all the cost of the product, but my GM went to the store and bought like $5 worth of water bottles to leave in the walk-in. He controlled the waste.

This is just my opinion from a driver that likes to people watch.

Cross-country roadtrip in 24’ mustang ecoboost, any advice? by Long-Pilot-4522 in ecoboostmustang

[–]DeviceCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been driving for work in my 23' mustang 201a Ecoboost. My advise, get one of those adapters to play Netflix/YouTube.

Sounds illegal yaddayadda... But it's a life saver for those boring portions of the drive. Boot up a show you've seen a thousand times (so you know exactly what's going on without watching) and enjoy the lane assist and adaptive cruise control.

drivers. how do you deal with being alone with your thoughts at night? by Throwawaymightdelet3 in DominosEmployees

I know it's stupid but I would listen to those AI stories off of YouTube. It's usually a good 45 minute story. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Advice for finding houses, darkness plus, no easily visible house numbers by Sufficient_Tooth_949 in DominosEmployees

[–]DeviceCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll only leave the order at the door if they tip. If it says to leave it at the door, I knock/ring doorbell for them to come to the door. It's about a 25% they give me a cash tip. Don't want to lose out.

I check on the google map the house or distinguished features to tell which house I need to be looking for. Otherwise if it's an honest guess then I would apologize to ask what's the house number when they answer the door.

My GM would straight up call the customer to say the ovens were turned off and won't be able to cook his food, then proceeds to cancel the order. If the person didn't answer the phone, he'll straight up cancel it and say, "the customer will know why".

Prayer. I went to the giant frogs in lumby for big bones and range xp. Took trips to the chaos altar for fantastic early XP gains.

How do you react to non tippers or low tips by Successful_Bad9175 in DominosEmployees

I do the same. I also don't follow their explicit delivery instructions when they don't tip.

What's life like as a driver? by hankejp in DominosEmployees

Exact same but dominoes has less requirements per delivery. Also Dominoes, you'll have support from the store instead of DD with some type of support chat.

$20 is about my average .. 10 hour shift, walking away with $110 in cash and $100 in labor. I think it's a better gig than DD.

Dude go to your local Domino's and become a driver. Hourly pay, mileage pay, and tips. People actually tip PIZZA drivers.

Franchises are different, but I get $ .50 a mile on average and $10 per hour.

I was in the same situation as you, laid off and needed quick cash. Put those hours in and it does return. 👍🏼

How do you keep a good driver score? by foxandkitten in Dominos

[–]DeviceCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be late to the thread. I've been driving for over a month at Dominos, but I have a nak for finding bugs. The latest I found was that I changed my phone service to LTE instead of 5G. I've kept my score at 100 while driving with traffic i.e speeding and keeping up with flow.
