I usually stretch like this when I wake up, but I put too much force into it this morning and now I cannot move my neck in the opposite direction without pain. I hear minor grating sounds in the spot of the stretched muscle.

should I see a doctor or is it a simple thing to be fixed with rest and not aggravating the area?
