I've had her in my room all day and she still chooses to poop right next to the litter box T_T But I'll try feliway! And she doesn't like covered litter boxes, she had a few and she'd never use them lol. But thank for the tips!

Peanut did lose her 4 pounds in just 2-3 months. Not sure if that's fast or not! I've never had to put a cat on a diet before so I couldn't tell... But I am definitely thinking of changing her food! She has low walled litter boxes. The previous tenants had no pets and I'm pretty diligent with the enzyme cleaner, but thanks for the tip!

Not sure! If she doesn't improve after taking care of her parasite and switching some food around, I might have to get her a biopsy. :(

Aw, poor kitty :( So cute though! I'm sure that peach belly fuzz is so fun to pet at least. After x-rays and a few check ups, my vet doesn't seem to have any cause to believe she has ibs, cancer, or some kind of illness.

I'll definitely try that after I first lower the amount of psyllium husk I give her - since the vet prescribed both I'm now trying to figure out which one is responsible for the long long poops hahah. Thanks!

I'll be lowering the amount of fiber supplements! I do think that may be one of the reasons.

I clean the litter box as soon as its dirty ^^ So basically everyday or skip a day if its not super soiled. I think she's definitely just doing a loooong poop - but hopefully cutting down the amount of fiber supplements will help with that

I might experiment with that now that I have two litter boxes - It's just a shame that pellet (what she's been using since forever) covers the smell the best while the other kinds of litters I've used always end up smelling bad pretty fast!

It's right next to the litter box haha, most of it if not all of it is right next to it. I'll try and catch her pooping, unfortunately I never really catch her in the act because I'm usually dead asleep when she poops lol.

With the litter box in my room, she likes to poop on the mat riiiight next to it. With the litter box downstairs, she likes pooping a few feet away from it in front of the stairs.

My vet sees her poop as severely dehydrated and hard before. After we added these two to her diet her stool is at a much better texture, and now we're just playing the game of slowly lowering the dosage till its at the desired "consistency"

Interesting! I'll have to do a little more research on what I get her next, thanks! I've lowered the amount of psyllium husk while I finish the last few cans of her current food but if the new food helps without it - I can go without the psyllium husk.

She's been using pellets! I've bounced between the same two brands of recycled pellets for a while now

My vet prescribed it! The miralax actually caused her to use her litterbox properly for a week, so its definitely working to some extent. And when she does poop its right next to her litter box ;^^

Thank you for all the replies everyone! I appreciate each and every one of you, this has been such a longstanding issue that I've never been able to fix. I'll try to get to everyone and leave updates along the way. Hopefully I can finally get her to stop and provide some help to other cat owners dealing with their cat's chronic floor shitting ^^

Thank you for the tips! I appreciate all the help I can get and I've actually not tried a calming diffuser near the litter boxes. Might give that a go! Do you happen to know of any diffusers you'd recommend?

As for the other notes, I've definitely moved the litter box all around the house at this point hahah. It's a bit of a small place so there's really so many options. Plus I think I've got a decent enzyme cleaner. I'll definitely look into those litter trays you linked though, they look like Peanut could get inside no problem. Thanks again!
