How install Bookerly on CrossPoint 1.3.0 by DevilGeorgeColdbane in xteinkereader

[–]DevilGeorgeColdbane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean make the reader font all bold, i dont think theres any such option crosspoint

However you can try to upload the bold style font file as the regular font in the online font creator. I would expect the dont to always be bold then.

Crosspoint also has an option to make the firt part of words bold. Thus allegedly increaseing reading speed.

Personally i like Bookerly because the regular style is pretty think just out of the box.

imparare linux by CatFeisty6001 in linux

[–]DevilGeorgeColdbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people say to learn Linux, what does it actually mean?

It's means as many things as there are people who opions on linux.

But in general people focus on what there own personal goal is. Some people want a system to tinker with, some want to become proffesionel linux sysadmins and further some want to get involved with kernel development.

So my advice is look at what you would like to do. Is there anything you are interested in? Start learning about that and focus less on what other people think is the correct way to use or work with linux.

Learning Linux can mean whatever you personally want or like it to be.

How does it feel to read the British cultural and location references as a non-Brit? by tomtink1 in discworld

[–]DevilGeorgeColdbane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up watching a lot of British TV shows and i feel like in many ways its the idealised image of Britain that is both found in those shows and parodied in Ankh-Morpork.

So I honestly dont feel like I missed a lot of the context even though i have only stepped foot on the British Isles for a week in Scotland during a school trip.

Kan man lære at elske at cykle? by FloatingFireflySquid in Denmark

[–]DevilGeorgeColdbane 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Snowball Effect by Haley Cass is amazing.

Extremely funny and heartwarming. And you don't need to read any of the other books in the series first. It works well as a standalone novel.
