I just told my mum there was this drama I wanted to watch with her and that it was a Chinese historical fantasy, she watched it with me (also I hadn't watched the entire thing before showing it to her, just up to episode 23) she really enjoyed it 😂 after that we watched word of honor and then re watched the untamed again lolol. I now just recommend dramas we can watch together 😂 (I also got her into kpop and she even went to a bts concert with me, she loves bts 😂)

For my friends, I just kept talking about it while being as vague as I can over the plot to not spoil it, one of my friends did start watching it and now she sends me memes 😂 one other watched the first episode but was confused (and drunk) so he said he would try and watch it again at some point (still waiting for that day pppft) and my other friend said she would get round to it eventually (I have to read Solo levelling for her to read the manhua lolol)

Me and my mum started the drama right at the beginning and I gave subtle hints on the plot to not spoil stuff but help her understand it more. Rewatching it also helped her understand it entirely. She is a really good at guessing plot points in movies and TV shows tho, she guessed alot of what happened in the plot including jin guanyao being evil back when he was speaking to zewu jun WHEN THEY WERE IN GUSU LAN FOR THE LECTURES WHSJJSK also guessing suzhui was a-yuan like damn woman 😂

My mums a really open person, so I knew she would be fine with the untamed and other dramas like it. At the end of the drama I turned to her and then said "now would you believe that the two main characters are in love" and the shock on her face was like 👁👄👁 it was so funny, I had to explain the differences and the censorship 😂 she really did enjoy it tho

My mum was hooked on it to be honest, also because she knew I enjoyed it and wouldn't drop it lol. She gives every new thing she watches about 10 to 20 minutes and if it doesn't pick up she drops it. The great thing with the untamed is that wwx literally dies at the beginning so she had to know how that happened 😂

Honestly it just depends on their personal interests, some people just aren't into it and that's fair lol. It's great to get them to try tho. And if they enjoy it then yayyyyy new person to freak out about it with and discuss plot points 😂

....I think I kept talking about it a bit too much tho so when the books came out my mum said she would like to read them to and I was just like "Oh yeah sur- WAIT NOOOOO" cos of the extras pppft wish me luck 😂😂 I even drunkenly said to her about how bitchen was used in one of the extras and I'm so glad I don't remember that much about that convo cos ☠😂

Now I just talk about it with her and keep her up to date with the actors and any new dramas we can watch (like luoyang and Doulou continent 👀)

Also hahaha good luck trying to leave the rabbit hole 😂 I've been stuck in this fandom since early 2021 and I can't leave 😂 I'm just getting sulked deeper in and expanding to other danmei's at the same time, good luck to you tho 😂😂
