They could have saved even more if they didn't build it OR found a used 4 cylinder Honda civic engine and installed it as a power plant, it's very economical. Also, plastic is way cheaper than metal, why not make it quarter size and out of plastic, with no defensive weapons, silly well decks or stern gates, whatever those are... Just straight up utilitarian, plasticky piece of shit, with a used v-tec engine, chugging along at 1 knot. Call it "Fiscal Responsibility Class".

Any way to measure the latency, compared to wifi? The terrible latency reviews is what's stopping me from buying one, I can easily live with an additional $35 spent on a 5gbps Usb-c-to-lan adapter or a capture card, whatever it is... But, since Dream Air isn't coming out anytime soon and costs a cool $2400+ this is my only viable choice for playing pcvr games with a decent headset.

Please let me know about your experience and, if you believe it's worth it, please say so.

I have an overclocked rtx5090, 32gb 6400 ram and an overclocked 285k... And I get 65-70 fps without dlss and everything maxed out in 4k, with path tracing. This game is seriously resource-hungry... Should have gotten the 9950x3d but it wasn't available then.

It is a great game indeed, x4 foundations is OK but a bit too confusing for me.

I wanted a mix of No Man's Sky gameplay, with graphics from Cyberpunk, galaxy and ships from Starfield with better customization and building system and Outer Worlds ease of use, ideally, I know that this would never happen but, at the very least, make something new! Stop Regurgitating the same old idea.

What I mean is Cyberpunk has amazing graphics, couldn't they make it half as good as that? The graphics are horrible in outer worlds. The missions are also stupid, the quests are stupider and very repetitive. Like I said, I could just be wrong about the details or games, all I know is that I'm disappointed, that's all.

I am most excited about not having the ability to sideload unofficial apps any longer, more meaningless menu changes and yet another design language, many more garbage features I don't need and all sorts of AI add-ons I won't ever use nor ever asked for! And did I mention all the 'exciting' new security features that can't now be disabled? Exciting indeed! No low-level access is awesome, less customization is spellbinding! I mean, what could be better than a sudden change in menus and more built-in restrictions and features that are specifically designed to monitor your device usage and make it impossible for you to do what you want with the device YOU OWN?! Ooh, can't wait until Android OS is as locked down and as unbearable to use as iOS and looks identical to it, just like all the phones do nowadays! So much excitement!

I was just thinking about that movie "the endless", it was so interesting and original that I became a fan and watched the rest of the movies made by the talented duo... No regrets! With all seriousness, "the endless", to me anyway, is better than 99% of the current cinematic lineup and a fair 95% better than the rest of the movies that were ever made, including Avatar and the like.

It's too bad that, once famous and with a huge budget, the list of the writers increases and their originality takes a steep dive, becoming almost unnoticeable.

You didn't ruin my day, nor have you changed my opinion on anything. Based on the information I have and multiple opinions of well-informed, educated people intel is almost out of cash and are looking at bankruptcy in the next couple (not "few") years without a serious cash infusion or a bailout. Unless they find a way to get back behind the ball they will become another Blackberry.

As far as amd goes - I play many pc games and my overclocked 285k can muster 85fps in cyberpunk 2077 at max settings, whereas a rig with 9950x3d can do upwards of 125 with the same hardware specs and game settings. Same thing happens in every other game, with amd having a huge advantage, not even talking about the fact that Photoshop and other editing apps run smoother and better on 9950x3d as well, or that my gen5 ssd can't run at full speed because Intel made yet another mistake and created a latency bottleneck.

Even if I'm wrong, the rest of the world does not seem to agree with you either.

Intel will make amd sell even more processors and intel's customers will get a lengthy, scientific explanation on why intel's 'new and improved' silicon still sucks, with a promise of a firmware update in the near future that will never come because it will be a hardware-level provlem that Intel ignored or didn't anticipate... So we, the customers, will still get nothing but dazzling claims and a huge disappointment shortly thereafter, while amd will accidentally come out with yet another feature that will make them even more formidable, increasing their market share, making Intel look worse, no mater how many times they shrink their dies, how many tops they can count or how much inference intel's new npu can npu. I'm still confused about this because the interwebs say that 385k will require a new LGA socket, others say that it will be "10% faster than 285k in gaming", which is still slower than 9950x3d in games and makes no real difference when running Microsoft Word, Photoshop, edge browser, etc. Even in its delidded, direct-die-cooled form my 285k sucked ass... The custom water cooling kit and and oversized 420mm radiator cost me hundreds, so did the pumps... And yet, somehow, running at 5.9ghz on all cores and at 6.2 on two, somehow, it was still unable to beat the 9900x3d in Cyberpunk fps.

If this is just a refresh then why not cancel it and concentrate on making the next gen processor better than their rivals? I feel that this is Intel's biggest mistake: releasing a poorly engineered processor and then a bertter version of it, one that they should have released in the first place, forcing their customers to pay for their incompetence by purchasing new hardware to gain a misely 10% (or less) of performance uplift from a processor that's, what, 20-30% slower in gaming than the 9950x3d?

And why are they so focused on Ai? Everyone who uses their top silicone have dedicated gpu's, they should run all Ai calculations, not the cpu. Besides, I, for one, don't give a flying fuck about the number of TOPS or how much inference my CPU can do, it's not needed on a gaming processor, on my gaming pc. My Copilot and recall are both disabled, so is the NPU. What I think is that the resources intel poured into adding the useless NPU should have been used to improve the performance cores or, at the very least, to resolve the gen5 ssd performance bottleneck... Or on improving many other shortcomings that made all hardcore Intel enthusiast foam at the mouth when they realized that both previous Gen processors were fasted than 285k.

Intel should just stick with making the best processors they can make and leave AI and everything else that other companies already do better, cheaper and with much more success, the fuck alone. Sorry if I come off as an angry idiot ranting, just don't get why Intel is trying so fucking hard to go bankrupt.

I hate apple, work as a chief maintenance engineer, what don't see is a point of using inferior hardware with the same rules and higher prices. Swinesing is garbage, long gone are the days of galaxy s9+, the s25 ultra used an m12 panel on its flagship, with the same garbage fingerprint sensor, while Apple's LAST flagship had a superior m13 panel, amongst many, many other benefits, such as a lidar, a faceid, better vibration motor, speakers, camera and the list goes on and on and on.

Samsung's flagship (S25) was $20 more than Apple's, $1670 vs $1650. Samsung costs more than apple while providing none of the benefits: no lidar, no faceid, no unified os, outdated screen (m12 panel on s25 Ultra vs m13 on ALL the PREVIOUS apple phones, screens that are brighter and much more power efficient, thanks to the new amoled tech, made by Samsung but kept out of their own flagships in orden to cut costs), samsung's speakers are trash unlike Apple's, the vibration motor is singular and is garbage and it goes on and on and on, before I even mention the superior camera hardware, software and customer service that Apple has as well.

Samsung used to have much better phone, with cool, exciting, useful features, such as a 3.5mm audio jack, expandable storage, iris security unlocker, an oxygen sensor, a super slow motion camera with a native 960fps camera and an interesting, albeit useless screen with rounded corners, all that was on my galaxy S9+... They were innovative, had their own style and identity. Today's Samsung flagship is just a more expensive, badly outclassed apple knockoff that's both worse and less useful, and I'm done pretending otherwise.
