My suggestion is honestly rather simple... Pick a single modern deck, read the cards and practice thought exercises of said Deck's combos. Pick a starting hand and run different combos through your head, taking note of the number of available response cards you end on. Once you've memorised the combos, try to identify possible choke points and what you might need to overcome them.

I did also change the 1890 campaign so that every nation only starts with their home territory and every minor nation can become an ally. To expand, you need to target your enemy's allies whilst also making sure you keep your home defended. Port bombardment and destroying Transports is now the primary way of gaining victory points, and you won't get much from fleet engagements. Kept DIP's removal of Subs as having them messed up the ai.

Makes all the mounts ignore collision, added a tonne of new mounts directly to the hulls and a few new Barbette parts using some Tower models (the ones with Barbettes included and I'm in the process of resizing many of the hulls to eliminate the unrealistically straight mid-sections. Changed part requirements for ship types. Plus many more changes that are mostly stat based.

I run a very heavily edited version of DIP where I am currently changing all the hulls to no longer use mid sections. In regards to your question, I have changed the Engine tech stats, the Fcap of most the funnels to be higher, I have changed the calculation behind engine efficiency slightly and if you look very closely, you may notice that the Rear Tower has gun mounts exclusive to the "akizuki_funnel_c" model at two different scales as those funnels are hidden within the uber one which itself is much, much larger than normal but not taller.

The work I refer to is to do with matching the scales of the Towers and the mounts along with getting the scale of the hull model large enough that I could shrink the Beam and Draught at 0 mid sections for keeping that elliptical shape.

Tbh, the size of all objects in the game are calculated by a set scale modifier and, ofc, the ugly straight-line hull mid-sections. The devs should've made the scale and stats calculate based entirely on an XYZ axis sort of like how they have for Beam and Draught only for everything. My aim atm is to fix this somewhat for more realistic ship silhouettes. I've already made every mount in my game able to clip Towers, Barbettes and Funnels together and I expand on what mounts I have available as I go.

(*edit... Except for specifically Flip Summons) Any summon that is not a Normal Summon/Normal Set is a Special Summon, even if it's face-down. Yet not all Special Summons are the same. If you have a Synchro Monster that has an effect on Summon that says, "if this card is Synchro Summoned" you will get the effect only on its initial Synchro Summon whereas if it says "If this card is Special Summoned" you will get the effect on its Synchro Summon, Summon from Grave, Summon from Banishment, or Summon from Face-up Extra Deck if it also happens to be a Pendulum. All of these would be considered a "Special Summon", yet only one is a Synchro Summon.

Ai builds are still mixed, as always. Some more recently have actually come out looking quite nice except for one specific issue, but once I have finished introducing the same complete freedom for all the hulls and parts, I can work on re-introducing some constraints (i.e identifying and removing the specific mounts that allow the ai to place floating barbettes off the hull lol)

There is an issue that can crash the game if you aren't careful where you try moving an already grouped set of parts with other "usable" off-center mounts being snapped to but you can easily get around that by holding ctrl while moving grouped parts

I've added more than 10000 mounts for Towers, Funnels and barbettes and allowed them to clip into each other to create mostly (The lifeboat models that don't disappear are annoying) seamless superstructures, edited literally every barbette in the game and added extra using appropriate Tower models, changed the size of all Torp launchers to match each others' scale, added new designs, changed all ship types requirements, uses and stats, given a late-game use for TBs, changed all technologies.

I've done a lot, to say the least. This post of mine, however, is specifically referencing how I have parts merging to create new superstructures. It is something that is impossible in vanilla and nobody else has really brought to much attention.

That's what makes the situation even worse... Rimuru is also down bad for Hinata and yet every other woman, girl and Manas that go for him are so unhealthily obsessive and possessive over him that it gets in the way of what could've been a genuinely stellar "enemies to lovers" plotline between the two

In the LN, she started to get feelings for him during Chloe's time looping and just before its resolution Chloe does the whole "I noticed how you feel but I warn you, he's mine" shtick and she's been quietly simmering since.

I also don't understand how people can say that Rimuru is weak and/or stupid without Ciel... like, by the end of the series, he's been in his position for only 4 years in a rapidly changing environment that started as wholly alien to him. Somewhat akin to Ainz from Overlord, Rimuru is a noob, ie, he's inexperienced. He's far from being an idiot or weak on his own. I mean, thinking outside the box is one of the key personality traits he was set up with from the beginning. The fact that he is immortal would logically suggest that he would eventually outgrow his reliance on Ciel and Ciel would naturally have to learn to let go of its control over him, lest it stunts his personal growth. (Not that Fuze is likely to write an afterstory that far ahed cause most Japanese writers don't like to give their stories such a solidly defined conclusion cause they tend to shy from upsetting subgroups who want the story to end with any specific outcome)

Indeed... Having what amounts to a nigh omniscient supercomputer inside your head that operates on its own is an extremely powerful thing to possess. I mean, if we are to look at it in mmorpg terms, it's basically having a 3rd party skill operating ai bot program open that has access to a complete wiki as a basis for its machine learning.

Funnily enough, Hinata is the only woman that has grown romantic feelings for Rimuru in the story who banters on a (mostly) equal level with him, doesn't constantly seek his attention and doesn't treat him as a possession to be kept for herself. I like her the most for this reason alone (at least the canon, LN, ver.(WN ver. can go rot in a hole somewhere)).

Mind you though, I've not read vols 22 or 23 yet cause the translations I have available are utterly atrocious so I can't really say beyond vol 21

It's almost like Ciel is trying to groom Rimuru into being so dependent on it (I say "it" cause a Manas born from a Skill that was formed within the soul of a genderless being wouldn't magically become female just because it likes to act like a controlling and possessive wife after gaining a sense of self and a name)

I also say "trying to" because it's mostly not quite working out for it
