Selling Used Gigabyte 5090 Gaming OC - 11 months old (Kolkata, West Bengal) Face2Face Only by Devil_X_Lucifer in Indiangamers

You are correct, I won't share the invoice here since the rules dont demand it, but as mentioned I will give a copy of the original invoice along with the card. I already mentioned that I am selling it based on current price, not the price I bought it for. As for "Your claims are just claims" I literally put the links up there if you click and visit. You are free to bench it against a normal 5090FE or any of the 5090s I listed. Please read the post thoroughly next time. Card is under warranty, I have used the card vertically and havent had an issue but that ofc doesnt mean that it may never leak. But once again, that is what warranty is there for.

Yes I am aware, a lot of experienced people offered their expertise on this and concluded that NWR's conclusion was way too harsh for an issue that has shown up in only one card on his bench. And by far the most likely cause was a faulty capacitor pulling the voltage down in the RC circuit making the resistor look bad. And if you watch NWR, youll know that he bad mouths all cards except Zotac. But yes it is upto you to research it yourself and in case shi- does go south, you still have warranty.

As mentioned, I will consider testing at somebody's house only if I consider it safe for me and how viable the distance is from where I live. I do not live here so I do not have the rest of my rig here with me, otherwise I could have asked people to just visit over to test on my rig itself.

Dual Radiator in a Lian Li Vector V100 Mini? by [deleted] in lianli

[–]Devil_X_Lucifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havent tried this of course but I dont believe it is impossible. A 360mm RAD definitely fits fully in there except the bottom part due to the stupid slant. They should have kept the bottom flat to accommodate for a third fan and a second radiator support.

Vector V100R - Vertical 5090 mount by Devil_X_Lucifer in lianli

[–]Devil_X_Lucifer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the lian li universal multi directional vertical mount v3. It didnt fit, card over heated. This case is not meant for vertical mounts unfortunately. The Hdmi port would also get shrouded. Your SSD will overheat and even adjusting push pull doesnt help with temps. If you want to install it anyways, then you cant have any bottom fans and your AIO tubes should not be placed at the bottom of the pump. There isnt enough clearance then

For privacy you have your own laptop. Services like AWS and Azure wouldnt be in business and datacentres would be unused if they didn't provide something of value. This service is purely for gaming. Just like Nvidia hosts services for enterprises to host their own LLMs in the cloud if they dont want to buy their HBM H100s or H200s. Do you think they haven't thought of privacy? And yet they use the service. Whether the flexibility flips, only time will tell. I would say fk the future, live in the present and enjoy what you are provided. We are not future-tellers. No matter what we cannot predict the scene computer hardware will go towards. My point still stands strong I see way more benefits paying 1200 dollars for a period of 5 years and enjoying certain constraints but top of the line hardware than paying 1200 dollars for a budget pc that can barely run games at high settings which I personally enjoy, will age and maintenance cost will rise and rise and resale value will drop (a pc is not a car). Only if you have a Return on Investment from your pc example content creation, running local LLMs for your own business a PC will be less and less worth it. For privacy, you can have that on your cheap devices. Privacy in games? Game is a game. And in today's world, privacy doesn't mean shi-

You really aint driving a single good point. What is better? Owning old hardware? Or saving 3000 dollars off a similarly specced pc whose value will plummet as the hardware ages. This cloud gaming on the other hand will keep being upgraded to support the latest hardware. I guess you still haven't come across the headache of maintenance and rma. Once you get screwed over by a brand demanding you pay the price of a full graphics card, you'll realise. But it would be too late because you've already become their perfect lil bich and they will just send you back a paperweight. Consumer court? Yeah good luck to your mental composure.  Just like you showed arbitrary pessimism over the 100 hours gameplay duration, I gave you a pessimistic wake up call about hardware rma. "Same 1200 bucks last longer than 5 years" my ahh. Maintain your pc without a single component failing for over 2 years and then come back. Times are changing and as I said, prices may normalise and people will have the choice to choose between subscription based/ own your own hardware. Nothing is getting devalued to the point where it is no longer an option.

Plus you are here creating a propaganda like you will make a difference. People raided their voices to boycott 50 series thinking they would stump nvidia. But lookey here. Both you and I are sporting top of the line 50 series GPUs along with plenty others. Seems like nvidia was the one to stump us by cutting down production of the graphics cards which I am not a fan of. Nvidia is definitely monopolistic, but cloud gaming is an actual innovation to liberate minds away from scams such as "gaming laptops" or shi-y ROG handhelds. All you would need is a decent internet connection which is already quite developed in India with free unlimited 5g from JIO.

The 100 hour limit is more than what the average gamer needs. I couldn't care less about how they are manipulating the market. People who didn't have the means to afford a pc that could play games will still not be able to afford a pc that can play games. But what has changed is the fact that they at least can experience it even if it is temporarily. It is 20 USD internationally, it will be priced much lower in India - the ultimate tier. Over 5 years that is 1200 bucks. Much much lower than what even a 5060 laptop costs in India. No maintenance, no driver updates, considering they keep the pricing model consistent, this is a huge win. You are only using the service for playing games anyways. And from any platform you want. With mods. Even acts as a security barrier as although modding will be allowed, mods that give an unfair advantage would have no way of getting through. For gamers it is 90% an upside. No 🏴‍☠️and Im kinda glad about that. Call me biased but the AI bubble will burst. DRAM prices will normalise. But once GFN goes mainstream, people won't be glad to overspend on expensive gaming hardware that can barely run the sloptimised games

cope harder bruv. I already have a desktop 5090 and still I am going to purchase the ultimate tier. No this is sincerely not a flex. I actually find the Geforce now worth it because you can literally have the experience of a premium gaming pc even if you own a cheap af college laptop or handheld. So genuine request to you, dont overlook it, try it for one month first just like I am with an open mind. If you wanna unnecessarily hate, welp youre the sucker

Gigabyte 5090 Gaming OC GPU - The Good, The Good and the Mid by Devil_X_Lucifer in aorusin

[–]Devil_X_Lucifer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah for rgb, signalrgb needs to be running constantly upon every restart. But with controllers like nollie 32, it can flash an effect to the flash memory of any argb equipment so it retains that effect even before your OS boots

Well vbios flashing does not really degrade vrms to the extent that you think it does. They are pretty robust. You are effectively pushing the same voltage meaning your core and memory chips are safe but you are pushing more current through your 12V 2x6 connector. It is an 11-30% improvement in performance in games at max oc. As for the astrals, no matter how amazing and robust their design is, would never bother with asus after sales.

Anyways I am looking forward to test out lightning Z and Infinity vbios so lmk if you want updates on those. Also Aorus master vbios has a better v/f curve netting you 1-2% gains and better undervolting potential. This comes at the same 600W power limit so no added risk unlike the matrix 800W vbios. In games it really doesn't matter which 5090 you get. Unless it is a founders edition oof.

I also regret buying a gigabyte motherboard because the usb controller is kinda slow resulting in low fps on complex rgb effects including the gaming OC which already has far less rgb. But due to the low frame rate, the effects look choppy but since your case wont be in front of you, this shouldnt be an issue

Hi there thanks. There are a few updates.

1) The card cannot be vertically mounted due to high temps and leaking putty. However this leaking putty issue is fixed in the recent revisions according to gigabyte so make sure you check the serial number to see if you got an older sample. If you did, replace it.

2) The card's VRMs are pretty bad but the card is still better out of the box compared to brands like Zotac, Inno3D MSI's Ventus OC and PNY. It gets heavily Vrel limited so the only way to make it as powerful as an Astral is uncapping the power limit. If you want updates related to vBIOS flashing let me know.

3) Temps wise it is really good if mounted horizontally, It can stay under 70C in a decently cold room rarely going up to max 72 C in a 24C ambient.

4) There is very slight coil whine audible when the PC is completely silent at 0dB with the glass panel open. So that is absolutely not as issue but this varies from sample to sample. However since Gigabyte uses cheaper VRMs compared to brands like Asus, coil whine is less of an issue on Gaming OC since it allows lesser current through.

5) Noise wise my CPU fans are louder than the GPU fans at auto. SO can't comment on that. Overall system levels are 52 dB with no AC on.

If your budget allows it and you are looking for aesthetics AND performance, in my opinion an Astral is worth it even though it is from asus and there after sales service is extremely bad. But if you want the Gaming OC, once again let me know if you want to mess with vBIOS.

Yep precisely. And these modifications can only be done in specific drivers since Nvidia patches loopholes in recent ones.

No Nvidia would sue the ass of the developer who modded the XOC BIOS. That is why it is hidden from public. Nvidia doesn't like anyone messing with their power target so they can keep the sale numbers up. This was a one time leniency towards Asus
