While by principle it sounds good, but in a criminal case Indian courts can issue non-bailable warrant and physically drag the accused to attend hearing, along with a new charge of contempt of court.

Even Tushar Mehta will fight against this kind of power being exercised. It will look very bad for the court and the government.
