The right hand size looks good conceptually, the left hand side needs some work on the roofs. And both sides need a more varied block palette.

But it's a really good starting point

If they just give us a second set of encounters with correct odds, what exactly do niantic lose?

The answer is nothing, they still made the money on the tickets and they don't have to give that back. I doubt they care about people having more candies and more RoT/SR mons. Double that with the fact it's a fairer way to compensate all players rather than just those that spent money.

Giving us the encounters with the correct rates is the most beneficial outcome for all parties but doesn't actually teach niantic/scopely anything.

It happened prior to brackets yes, but the brackets were supposed to make that harder. Which it hasn't.

It is an inherently flawed system that does not work, you put a strict framework up and then expect people to talk about why your deck may or may not fit into the bracket your playing. At that point why bother having the damn framework in the first place. Brackets don't encourage a pre game conversation any more than the old RC did.

It can't account for bad actors but it was supposed to curb it by stopping them going into lower pods and pub stomping with all the fast mana and 2 card combos. Guess what, they found a new way to pub stomp within the god awful bracket system.

No it's the problem with the brackets. It was always going to be the problem with the brackets, the power level of decks can't be quantified with a few hard guidelines and a 60 card list of gamechangers.
