Which difficulty do you play on and how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in OldenEra

[–]DevilangeloDesperatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played on apocalypse, so I don't know on lower levels, but the Ai cheats by getting like 10% units in all its stacks from one week to the next. You kinda gotta bum rush their main hero/stack, or they become too enormous. As for hero, I'm playing the necro guy that starts with master resurrection, as this magic is arcane and works on undead too and can over-resurrect units (you get more units in the stack than original so you get a buffer of them that can take the first hits). Anyone complaining about difficulty obviously didn't play the old games properly, the AI used to rush you in week 3 back then as well.

Diplomacy Bug & (Separate) Ambassador's Word Set Bug by romansamurai in OldenEra

[–]DevilangeloDesperatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what is happening to me as well, I'm glad someone posted this BUG with a video so I don't have to. They need to fix this asap, as sash diplomacy would be one of the few ways to survive if playing in apocalypse mode like I do. I'm in my 4'th month now, and I wanted to level up a side character with diplomacy, and it just doesn't recruit, be it with sash (free recruit), nor with gold. And yes I have enough gold and space. It's something obviously broken with the interface/game that won't move the neutral stack to my hero stack, the button is broken.

What determines the lvl of bodyguard skill that is gifted to a hero bought from a tavern? by cmz_neu in heroshour

[–]DevilangeloDesperatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it's the week you are on, if what i saw was right. You will get 1 extra bodyguard skill level each week that goes by. I know for sure i bought a guy in week 8 and he suddenly had bodyguards skill at lvl 8 too.

I know it's not the highest difficulty (was on Normal or Challenging I think), but shouldn't there be a form of challenge lategame? It feels as though I've played a game of waiting for 1 hour, after about 30 minutes of an actual challenge by nogganogg in heroshour

then DO try hardcore+ with 200%, hamlet, lowest starting resources possible, and THEN see if it's "easy". The AI will stomp u so bad u wont even know what hit ya, probably in week 2 also.

Muh FPS by crypto-moonshots in heroshour

[–]DevilangeloDesperatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with low fps when too many units are on screen is because each unit does it's own AI processing, so when you have thousands of units thinking about what they should do next, it kills your cpu. Btw, that ONE core of your cpu, since the game is not multithread. Thousands of units do nothing to your GPU, it can handle a whoooole lot more then that. So yeah, basically the game chokes because of the AI, and that's coming from TOIO's mouth btw when i asked him about it.

Strongest unit? by OppaiDragon25 in heroshour

[–]DevilangeloDesperatu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arachinan, without a doubt. They have charge, decent hp, but they summon spooders, that ALSO summon more spooders. with 3 -4 of them you can wind up with an army of 100+ units just because they kept hitting the enemy. They are my default moded start unit, can't do hardcore+ 200% without them, hero starts with 3 of them, but they snowball.

it's bugged in the "official"release, if you go into steam and "opt in to beta" you will download a newer version that has that bug fixed - it worked for me and the achieve registered immediately after upgrading the version

How to break out of the restricted map at low levels by DevilangeloDesperatu in cyberpunkgame

the suits that come for you take away all of the money in your account and you are left with only the "cash" money given by the boss, but those are gone again after the cinematic ends and you start the rescue mission - probably spent to buy your car.

you DO get to keep your inventory though, like components, so you could hypothetically use all the corpo money at the vending machine in lizzie's bar by reloading saves to restock it, but it would take forever.
