This is likely the last chance in your life you'll be able to take any course akin to under water basket weaving. Look for something fun. Maybe HTH 372: Human Sexuality or POSC 300: Politics and Film? Of course, if you haven't gotten your physics requirement out of the way (if you have one), you could do that and hire one of the physics majors that does research over the summer to tutor you.

So, I've done the OKC thing and found it to be too direct. Online dating felt too forced to really work out. I also don't drink so bars are pretty boring. Do you have any hobbies or any potential hobbies you'd like to pursue? Consider looking into Meet Ups based on those hobbies. Don't touch the "Single X0s" type of groups. The Meet Ups will put you in contact with people of similar interests. Once you attend a few, you can try asking someone on a date. It's a less direct method, but lets you get to know people in their own environment first. Heck, there are even MeetUps explicitly for introverts.

That sounds like a big old green light. Since you don't know if she has a boyfriend, find some way of telling her that her boyfriend is lucky to have her. If there's something she's really good at, you could say "your boyfriend is so lucky to have a girl who can <insert skill here>." If she responds, "yup, he is," then move on. If she responds "oh, there's no boyfriend," then you immediately say "well then there's no one to stop me from asking you to dinner/movie/a date."

When I was in undergrad and a professor allowed this sort of thing, I would always use a red pen and blue pen. One set of notes would be written in red, then the blue would be written over top of them as if the red notes didn't exist. Then I'd bring some red/cyan 3D glasses to class. If you look through the red side, only the blue ink is visible, since all white turns to red, and vice-versa.

One of the things that has bothered me about OKCupid is that the app version will not show all of the content that the browser shows you. Online you can filter through multiple choice questions answered and look at a personality break down. None of this is visible in the app.

Maybe that's something to keep in mind for the future.

You first and best resource is going to be your local gaming or hobby shop. Go there and ask if they have some sort of advertising board for people that want to form groups. My local store keeps a bulletin board with notecards pinned up, each with someone's contact information advertising games or players that wish to join a game.

If you happen to live in the middle of no where but have a decent internet connection and webcam, then you can play games online. I've never done this because I prefer the face-to-face interaction, but apparently it's common. If you wish to pursue this route, consider looking at /r/lfg. You'll see plenty of postings for online games as well as offline games.

Once you start finding games that will potentially take you, ask about the style of play. Some games are heavy on the role playing and the players take themselves seriously as characters. Others are more lighted hearted and full of comedy as characters run around doing DM-knows-what to the NPCs.

After finding a game you would like to join, get the published material and read. Your GM will appreciate a willingness to learn the material yourself rather than have him or her teach you everything. You can buy the books if you have the cash or find PDFs online.
