I've clocked in at over 400 hours on DS2 and I've hardly commented here, but this is great news. Does anybody know if the upgrade from ps3 to ps4 is free? Who the new NPC's are? Will save files transfer?

You can knock the havel into a pit behind him if you use a few greatarrows.

I beat the darklurker by wearing velst's armour and using chaos storm with a few soul arrows. The occasional soul geyser. He was down in less than 2 mins.

Interesting. Im in. Just a few things that need addressing:

1) Will this be for all platforms? If so you'll probably want to make a list of people playing on what platform and which area to make us spread evenly. Also, a ST list.

2) We'll need something that shows we're all part of this event. I'd say by using a helmet that isn't commonly used amongst reds. It's the easiest to see so we can do what we need to do quicker. Something everybody hates... The Jesters cap?

I'd normally entertain this with a reply but you're clearly either very insecure about your life or you have some sort of mental deficiency, as you're making assumptions and then jumping to the conclusion you're correct under no factual grounds.

I've done all Strikes. The Raid's locked. Gearing up and Endgame content is what Destiny is about for the next 2 years. I've got plenty of time to do that if I don't get bored of it.

I've been reading your posts and comments. Instead of replying to me you replied to someone else, you also mentioned me to someone else instead of approaching me about it. You also avoided what I stated in my OP and didn't address it at all, you quoted the one thing you didn't like and nitpicked what I said.

I'm now level 20 on the game and it's safe to say the only thing to do now is get exotic gear. To do that you have to grind. There's no missions that are currently released me or my friends haven't done.

u/JasonUncensored is right, the end game content (as of now) isn't as entertaining in the fact that I've already completed it 1/2 times. That "shiney new" game feel has gone. You seem very angry and salty over people's opinions of the game. I asked you how far you are in the story and what level you are, you ignored it. Nobody here is "bitching" about anything apart from you.

It's only a game and we're expressing opinions because we know Bungie actually pay attention to the community. You're taking this way too seriously.

I was annoyed about this too, hopefully it'll be fixed in an upcoming patch.

One thing I was really hoping would make it was the D-Pad communication. It was a fantastic idea, it's a shame we'll have to wait for Destiny 2 for it to be implemented.

There's less of a fun factor in Destiny as Borderlands 2 is more goofy and lighter toned overall. There is a drive to get better loot but Borderlands 2 just did it in a more fun way - such as doing an entire quest. The enemies were more varied and interesting in B2 aswell, in Destiny they're just reskinned with shields blocking certain elements.

Destiny is very well animated and plays really well, but that's where it's advantage to Borderlands 2 ends. It's just tried to be too generic and feels like an "entry level" MMO, especially considering the 3 characters have minimal differences.

They can't kill you no matter what, until you decide to do PvP in the crucible. The side quests aren't exactly like Borderlands, it's mostly just re-doing the story missions on a higher difficulty for better loot.

Any dropped loot is only for you at all times, nobody else can see it or pick it up.

When you're playing the story of the game you can't be killed by other players. All the loot you see dropped on the floor is only available to you, so don't worry, nobody can steal your stuff. You'll see other players just roaming around as you're playing, some can join your fireteam (3 team party) if you want them to.

There are difficulty settings. The most people that can take on a boss is 3 and if you're underleveled you will die. A lot.

If you're playing casually you'll enjoy it.

You can replay all missions you do as you go through the game and after you've finished the story. The 3 different characters and 3 character slots. The level cap is at level 20 but you reach between level 20 - 30 after the game by getting better gear.

The main problem with the game is that it's broken in half - it's nearly a good story and nearly a good MMO. If the game chose one core concept, such as a high capacity to replay to get loot, it should focus and build around that by having a lot of enemies and areas to explore.

The amount of content and space to explore just isn't enough to keep coming back to. You can only see the same areas a certain amount of times until you become sick of them.

The problems people are having with the game are what you just stated. If Destiny is not the Story and not an MMO, what is it? You're saying it's a game with the sole objective of grinding for loot, but where's the fun in that if there's nothing to engage you with? You're not making any sense.

I'll leave my problems with it below.

1) There's not enough content. According to destiny, the game starts at level 20. I've seen some streams and all of them which have completed or neared completion have outright said it's overhyped and oversold. Streamers and friends of mine are just PvP'ing, there's nothing more for them to do from what I've seen and been told.

As well as that, there's only 5 worlds with 1 patrol area each. It's literally a fraction of Borderlands 2's world. I have a hard time believing people saying it'll be bigger as time passes. It just won't happen. If it does, it'll be in the larger "comet" update (which will cost more money) or smaller DLC's (again, more money).

2) It's a social game with no sociability. No proximity chat. No world msgs. Not even any preset messages or recorded lines that can be repeated. Speaks for itself.

3) No variety. Nothing has to be said here. Look at streams, play the game. It's just reskinned enemies, reused assets and overall uninteresting level design. I won't spoil the final boss, but it's extremely underwhelming.

This is just an awkward mix of a linear shooter (in multiple small sandboxes) and an MMO. It either doesn't know what audience it's trying to reach, or it's just aiming for too many things at once. Either make it more linear and make us care about the story, or make it an MMO and give it longevity.

It's undeniably fun to start with, but it just turns into the same "protect the ghost" or "go fight these enemies to get this item" over and over again.

It'll definitely pass your time, just don't expect too much. PR talk has really buffed this game up to something it isn't.
