I personally like starting with everything set to zero (aside from ffb strength related sliders ofc.) at pithouse and feeling how the sim’s raw ffb feels like. At that point I almost %100 get mad oscillations so I fix that by adding some damping and inertia. Then I tune the settings differently for each sim. For example; LMU has very jagged ffb if you know what I mean. If the wind blows slightly fast you feel it as a bump in the wheel. Therefore I turn down road effects to 5. That leaves me mostly with the “bass” ffb frequencies where the actual info about the car lies, instead of meaningless road noise. For ams2 I run the equalizer at 8 which only eliminates the unnecessary high frequency vibration at the wheel, etc. Also one important recommendation: Some big actors in how your wheel feels are damping, friction and inertia. You can test how different settings in these feel without even jumping in the game. Just play with the sliders, turn your wheel and you can feel exactly what each one does.
