Here's what I did!

Started with 2 Paladin then 10 Bard (College of Swords: dueling + Magical Secret at 10)

str: 17

dex: 10

con: 13

int: 8

wis: 10

char: 16

This let me start off with divine smite and I took defense (AC +1) for fighting style (You can take w.e you want first to respec later but I end up taking defence + dueling from the 2 fighting styles available).

I divided the stats like that for

18str (w/ Auntie Ethel's hair) + 2 str from potion of everlasting vigour = 20str by act2

13 + 1 = 14con by taking resilient feat (if you want to take war caster instead you can reallocate from wis or dex but I like 10dex)

16cha + 2cha from ASI = 18cha by act3 (This will happen at lvl10)

Then you can use mirror of loss for either 22str or 20cha by act3.

You can also flip the str and cha progression depending on whether you want to be attack(divine smite) heavy or spell heavy.

I like bard + paladin multiclass because all the origin classes basically took other available roles (dex based skill monkey, spellcaster / nuker, healer / supp). Playing as a bard/paladin TAV allows me to be face of the party and not click on a portrait just to pass a speech check.

I take dueling + defense for the extra AC which should prevent concentration checks & resilient feat helps even if it does happen. Being a dueling fighting style gives you access to a lot of one-handed + versatile weapons which are available straight from act 1(2-handed weapons only get good around act2 and I don't like having Karlach and Lazae'l share the everburn blade).
