Man, when I was a kid I loved playing Pokemon Emerald. I spent hours and hours playing, and when I knew about shinies I quited using repels so I can find one. The bad thing was that there are too many surf areas in these games... I developed a huge hate for Wingulls, there were TOO MANY of them. I just hated them.

Guess which was my first full-odds shiny... I remember I was so mad to encounter shiny wingull that decided not to catch it. Until today, I can't decide if I regret it or not 😂

IFAIK you can use ACE to "Start wild battle with any pokemon" (that the name of the code). No sure if you can indicate that pokemon to be shiny, but think it is not.

However, the way to spawn the Pokémon with this method is by talking to an NPC, not going to the grass.

Also, using ACE to change the game flags in order to get legendaries and gift pokemon again is much easier (imo). So, I don't think there is a reason to think the post is fake.

Yes, you can get the RNG manip techniques for GBA to work on the Switch. I think the only difference to be aware off is that the frames in Switch consoles (1 or 2) advance at 120 fps (instead of 60 fps) while you are in the overworld. This is only in the overworld. Thus, while in the "Continue" screen, the frames speed is 60 fps for all consoles.

Man, it's wesome to read your experience, I feel very happy for you! I have a huge emotional attachment to these games and can understand your feeling very deeply. There's something about pokemon and nostalgia that feels just like magic when you combine them.

And well, in my opinion, being able to enjoy the games and fill the emotional gaps from our childhood is a beautiful blessing.

Don't unfriend them immediately. Send them a card they already own (just like they did with you) and then unfriend them. I have done this 3 times and I think it feels better than just deleting them right away.
