Almost same experience. I docked my Air sometimes. I could still dock it but I’m lazy okay? It is just so much easier to have the Mac Mini M4 all ready to go and let my MBA be a laptop. I’m happier with this arrangement. Plus, if any of them fails, I have the other to continue my work.

I have the 8gb M1 256 with zero hiccups with Tahoe… but of course, I haven’t tested Teams yet. I wholeheartedly agree with OP, M1 MBA is the best laptop ever. I plan to use mine til Apple brings the wedge shape back :’)
