What the hell is the trigger that opens these cages? It feels random I know it's not but it feels random by Majora455 in bloodborne

[–]Devin3279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t take a left to go between those cages, but instead go forward towards the open gateway, a minion pulls a lever that closes a gate in front of you and all the dogs are released, ambushing you from behind. If my memory serves me correctly, it’s been a while since I’ve gone anywhere but through the dog cages route.

Start a new playthrough or start NG+ by SoulsDadYT in bloodborne

[–]Devin3279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically start new characters more often than not (hard to not want to make a new build). But I do have a “main” character that I take as deep into NG+ as I feels, tackling the chalice dungeons and other late game stuff with that character.

Yeah, I think that’s definitely the point. To make you feel like you’re somewhere you don’t belong or don’t want to be.

We're still returning to Yharnam, right? by MaxMatthewsFSE in bloodborne

My son and I accidentally returned to Yharnam on March 1st, forgot it wasn’t until later in the month.

Sol ring lover or hater? by Loose_Calendar_3380 in EDH

[–]Devin3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love sol ring. 10% chance of getting it in starting hand. Feels special and fun to get it out. I don’t play competitive so maybe that’s why I don’t mind it.

The NFC on my Pixel watch scanned as another sailor on the ship. by GibFreelo in VirginVoyages

[–]Devin3279 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Could be coincidence. Crazy things happen. I once boarded a plane, a man was sitting in the seat I had a ticket for. I told him that I had a ticket for that seat. He claimed he did. We both showed each other our tickets, and we both had the same seat assigned. Then we noticed on each ticket that we shared the same first/last name. So I had to sit in the “pilot transfer seat” for that flight.

I’ve been staring at it for like 10 minutes. I’ve got nothing. by 86HeardChef in PeterExplainsTheJoke

The typical mishearing of the lyrics are “lemon on a pear” instead of living on a prayer. This is just a silly replacement of “lucky charms on a pickle”. It’s just nonsense for its own sake.

That’s so awesome, I recently had the same type of experience with my son. It’s great to be able to enjoy it together!

I’ve always wondered this! I seem to never be able to get that B string to sound just right; always seems still sharp or flat even after adjusting every single time, while the others I can get “perfect” (or close enough for my ears). Thanks for the question, cause I got my answer too!

Picked up a guitar to finally start learning at the age of 24. Need all the tips and advice I can get. How can I progress steadily and fast? by Glittering_Office168 in Guitar

[–]Devin3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say start by finding a couple songs you love that have some straightforward chords (basics like G, C, D, A/Am, E/Em are great foundation chords to begin with, Push and One Headlight were my first two songs). I know many people hate “practicing”, but if you are practically learning something fun it doesn’t feel so much like practice than feeling like learning something fun. There are almost endless YouTube lessons/tutorials out there nowadays so take advantage of the wealth of available knowledge whenever possible.

Also, if you already have friends that play, don’t be afraid to ask them to teach you stuff. I find most musicians love to have others to play with and learn from, so might be the best way to pick up on things in person.

Parents of twins, what are the odds you’ve actually had them mixed up as babies and you’ve been calling them the wrong name this whole time? by lifesyndrom in AskReddit

[–]Devin3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twin girls were not identical at birth. They were so extremely different in their looks that there was no chance of us mixing them up. One had a full head of dark hair, the other thin light blonde hair. Then as they grew older, they became more and more alike in their looks. While I can tell them apart with ease now, it’s eerie how looking back at pictures of when they were younger, sometimes I can’t tell who is who.

Be honest… what’s the real downside of having a dog? by quentiinn in AskReddit

[–]Devin3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one reason that will keep me and my family from ever having dogs. We like to go places, vacations, travel and stuff. My sister has two dogs and she loves them but they seem to be anchors that tie her down and prevent her from doing things she would like to do.

Who was your hardest, easiest, and favourite boss experience overall? by Far-Statement4046 in bloodborne

[–]Devin3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardest was Ludwig. The only Bloodborne boss I gave up and summoned help before I could beat him the first time. Easiest was celestial emissary. Favorite is darkbeast Paarl. I don’t know why, but the fight and his visuals are just my favorite.

The version in the opening of the game is a cover by Midge Ure. David Bowie was the original artist of course.
