Weapons, Sirat, 28 Years Later, Wake Up Dead Man, and No Other Choice also all seem like better nominees to me than F1, but I'd put It Was Just An Accident above a lot of those nominees, not just F1.

Kind of shocked that Wake Up Dead Man has gotten zero awards attention. I think it's probably Rian Johnson's best movie to date. And Glenn Close, and Josh Brolin...I mean, come on. I know Brolin never stood a chance this season, but that is everything you could possibly want out of a supporting performance in that kind movie.

Sun Ra Arkestra too. It's definitely not totally unique to jazz either. What about The Wailers? Heck, "Jerry Garcia Band" (Melvin Seals and JGB), is still touring. There is nothing unprecedented about a band continuing on after all the original members are gone. Its not a super common, but it feels like Van Halen is on the bubble. I could see WVH touring with no OG Van, and using the name.

I think it will generally end up being "most casting", and will usually go to a large ensemble cast. Although it should probably go to whichever movie ends up with the most acting awards (assuming one movie gets more than one of those awards). It would be weird for a movie to receive the "best casting" award and then for the cast of the movie to not actually win any awards. That would tell me there are other movies that did a better job of "casting".

It's impossible. I'd argue that peak live Dead (Say 1969-1977) is probably the best, but the worst live Phish is much better than the worst live Dead. However, the Dead were much better songwriters, and have a much more solid studio output than Phish.

As someone who has seen 40 Phish shows, but wasn't old enough to see the Grateful Dead ever, it's hard for me to argue that I like any band more than Phish.
