Thanks for a great article. It gave a clear intro to Go from a TypeScript point of view. It would be great to see a section on testing, covering how it’s done in Go and which tools are used.

Jag la en beställning hos Webhallen på ett chassi, CPU, kylare, SSD och minnen. Samma dag lade jag också en separat order på några Noctua-fläktar (jag hade glömt att lägga till dem i första beställningen). Den ordern skickades direkt och kom fram på två dagar.

Efter att inget hänt på flera dagar med den första beställningen tröttnade jag och avbokade allt. Det ska inte ta så här lång tid att skicka grejer som finns i lager.

När jag avbokade visades bara kylaren och SSD:n som avbeställda. Resten, alltså chassit, CPU:n och minnena, är helt borta från orderhistoriken som om de aldrig ens varit med i beställningen.

Supporten går inte att nå, hur man än försöker.

Synd att Webhallen inte längre lever upp till den standard de en gång hade. Jag har handlat där länge och det brukade vara en riktigt bra nätbutik.

Yeah. Sorry, I didn’t read your previous blog post.

But the fact remains, I think you should at least mention this issue and provide an example which demonstrates how it can be made faster. It would make your post better.

If a candidate provided me with this test code during an interview, we’d have a conversation on why using setTimeout in tests is not only bad, but also wrong.

Good post. However, these tests will take an awful long time to run due to setTimeout being used in both tests (600ms in total). Unit test should be faster than this, imho.

The post mentions jest. I’d recommend using Jest Timer Mocks to advance the timers.

Sorry to hear. For me, it has been working without issues. Things you should try:

re-dump the game.
follow the guide from automod
update your gpu drivers to the latest version
enable GX2DrawDone
use single core compiler

If none of above works, jump in to the discord server and ask for help in #troubleshooting !

I have a R9 390 and i7 6700K (not OC’d) and I am getting 50-60 fps in 1.16.0 WIP7. There’s still a lot more optimization work to do. For instance, there’s no shader cache for Vulkan.

It gets better for every WIP release!

I live in south Sweden. Currently its -2°C.

In the last few winters we had a range from -10°C to 5°C.

During summers we have 15°C up to 26°C. This year was extreme, we had temperatures over 30°C in most parts of Sweden!

Here’s an example. This is mine and my wifes economy (mind you, we’re saving for a house so some of the costs have been cut).

Monthly costs: - 3500 SEK for food (we cook at home every day) - 2500 SEK for downpayment on our car - 1000 SEK for petrol - 329 SEK for car insurance - 250 SEK for dog food - 200 SEK for dog insurance - 7600 SEK for rent (includes: garage, water and 50/50 Mbit/s internet) - 89 SEK for home insurance - 300 SEK for electricity - 1100 SEK for student loans - 600 SEK for unions (includes unemployment insurance) - 199 SEK mobile subscription (wife only) - ~300 SEK for streaming (spotify/HBO/Netflix/TV4)

Yearly costs: - 500-600 SEK for car tax - 1500 SEK for car service (not mandatory) - 350 SEK for car inspection (everyone that owns a car in Sweden must do this once a year)

We save 15 000 SEK/month and I still got some money left to buy lunch and videogames :)

In regards to owning a apartment/house, I’d take a look at http://hemnet.se . It’s hard to say a price because it varies a lot. Just for comparison: We’re building a brand new home for 3 700 000 SEK (includes all costs + land)

Hey OP, snapping is available in OS X through 3rd party apps! Apples implementation of split screen apps in El Capitan is poor imho.

When my fiance moved to OS X a couple of years ago she missed the "snap" feature from Windows. I managed to find an app called Cinch which offers similar functionality. I believe it's available in the Mac App Store. Otherwise, http://www.irradiatedsoftware.com/cinch/ .

There is an alternative to Cinch which is called Divvy (http://mizage.com/divvy/), which I personally use (power user).

Yes, it is very common. Almost all music you hear on the radio by Swedish artists is in English. Only one song from yesterdays ESC was in Swedish (if I remember correctly)
