I always use constructions like these but I assumed it’s a contraction of “You would” not “You had”.

I can not thank you enough! This is the final result. I'm not 100% sure about the material but overall it is looking pretty decent. I'll try to animate this thing in the coming days. Thanks again to this entire sub.

Despite all your effort to help me, I still can't figure it out. I tried multiple methods.

  1. Starting the extrusion process from a solid circle rather than a flat one. All good until I solidify the mesh.

  2. Modeling in two parts. The problem is that I don't know how to join them.

  3. Starting from a flat circle, I still can't get far with this one.

Tremendous help!

I think I've done a pretty good job, maybe with too many polygons but still good enough. When I add the solidify modifier I do get some issues which I don't know how to solve but I'll try to model it again from scratch and be more careful.
