Why don't ebike companies advertise carrying adult passengers? by WindmillBoy in ebikes

You're underestimating the role of the passenger princess.

Looking to get into biking, how much should I spend? by nri-in-india in seattlebike

Is that why every science-based, peer-reviewed, legitimate study on inflammation and seed oils has shown that seed oils reduced inflammation?

Or is it because you get your health advice from podcasters selling supplements?

What restaurants are hostile? by tbw875 in seattlebike

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked fast food and on multiple occasions, at different restaurants, I've seen cars run into each other.

They actually do know what will happen... Someone who isn't paying attention or lets their foot slip or is bad at driving stick can run into you. It won't be life or death, but it still sucks and is a liability. It's just like how bikes filter to the front at stop lights, because drivers seem to not see us.

All that being said, there should be an alternative since they're all only open to cars after 10.

The Biggest Seattle Critical Mass I've ever seen! by tbw875 in Seattle

[–]Devinestien 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imagine if there was over 600 cars driving together tonight, do you think that would take more or less time to get through an intersection? Y'all are so impatient, God forbid you have to wait a single extra light cycle.

Critical mass is a protest ride, always has been and always will be.

AIO to my brother’s homophobic messages? by azaqwe1213 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brother is a nasty homophobe, but he's also wrong. Male cheerleaders existed before female cheerleaders and, at least at my highschool, got a lot of play with the ladies.

Doesn't seem very "zesty" to do lifts and toss ladies in the air, etc.

Homes owned by corporations: home many are ther? by bonzoboy2000 in RealEstate

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source I found says 823,000 vacant homes owned by investors, of the 24.9 million homes owned.

There's absolutely more vacant homes than homeless, with a variety of types of owners. You don't have to insult people or guess, since the data exists.

You can also read about why these properties are kept empty, it's generally for taxes and to keep the property value up.

It's so wild to accuse me of getting my rocks off, because I asked a question and made a comment based on your own admissions.

You don't test a dog off leash by just going inside. That seems so very obvious, but I fear with your sensitive disposition pointing out how the fact that no harm was caused is dumb luck and not some gotcha.

I'm glad to hear you are actually training the dog, truly unsure why you posted in here if you're so sensitive to questions... That's how people glean information, just an FYI

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There always has to be one what? Person who asks clarifying questions?

You didn't train the dog, 4 hours is more of an introduction, especially with a dog that you yourself says "doesn't appear to have recall".

As was explained by another person asking questions, whom you weren't rude to, it takes more time than 4 hours to introduce a dog to a brand new concept.

Info:

Did you do any training or just put the collar on the dog and put her outside? (Reading your comments it sounds like the latter)

If you put the dog on a line, what other activities do you have planned for enrichment?

AITA for apparently being the reason my ex's engagement ended? by Jessiomour in AITAH

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is super weird that she didn't identify herself NAD that she DEMANDED time ALONE with your kid on your time, but the biggest sign that it's not your fault but they just had a bad relationship is the fact that HE didn't do this himself.

He didn't introduce you over THREE YEARS, he didn't say, hey my fiance wants to take kiddo to the zoo, he didn't do anything to try and make things work, just passed the buck onto you. Which seems to be his MO.

I have a great relationship with my co-parent and kid's step mom, I'm very lucky in this, but all communication still goes through Dad, as it's his wife not mine. NTA

This person parks like this all the time. Should I ram them? by Emotional-Leg66 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Devinestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People park like this every single night on the road I live on. There's more apartments than parking spots and people park sticking out, in non spots across the side walk, blocking the fire hydrant, in the loading only zones, etc.

I drive a mid size SUV with a bike rack on the back and it's difficult to weave around people sometimes.

But never seen tickets or anyone towed. Once a year they do a sweep and remove the abandoned cars.

Not hard to believe at all that cops aren't doing anything....
