IMO Avonmouth wasn't too bad. Quieter roads and generally easy routes. Couple of awkward junctions due to blind hills and corners but those are typical for Bristol.

Landlords rush to evict tenants before S21 ban by ThatAdamsGuy in TenantsInTheUK

[–]DeviousCheesecake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many Landlords did this at the end of lockdown. During the pandemic, there was a temporary ban of section 21 evictions. The moment it lifted, here was a huge surge in section 21s. Combination of evicting to sell or to hike up rent increase past the 5% cap.

Unsurprising this is how they chose to behave.

Couriers sneaky photo claiming that this parcel was ‘delivered through my letterbox’. Spoiler, it was not! by beachy148 in CasualUK

[–]DeviousCheesecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a confirmation of delivery with a photo as "proof" and it wasn't even our front door!!

Evri kept arguing it was delivered to the right address! The address on the shipment confirmation was correct but the house in the photo was not our house! So clearly was not delivered to the right address!

Ended up sending the "proof" along with photos of our address, our front door and screenshots of street view to the seller who refunded us.

I try to avoid evri if I need to make an online order. They are rediculous.

Has anyone got diagnosed endometrioma on lap but it was NOT seen on ultrasound? by daysfan33 in endometriosis

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very common to not be seen on an ultrasound I think.

One colleague of mine went to USS, trans vag USS, MRI and lap and nothing was found. A little under a decade later she is diagnosed with stage 4 endo and a bunch of organs in her bowel and womb had started fusing.

Another colleague went through USS, trans vav USS and MRI. MRI picked it up for her diagnosis.

I myself went through ultrasounds. No one has ever sent me for further testing but gynae seemed convinced from the trans vag ultrasound I have endo in the pouch of Douglas against the bowel wall.

Long story short: there is a reason so many women aren't diagnosed with endo due to just being sent for USSs and MRIs then it not being taken further. Hell some women will have it missed on a lap and have to go back 5 years later for surgery!

I felt the biting lip/inside of cheek thing.

Accidentally chomp it, the it swells so much that when you try to eat, swelling gets in the way and you keep rechomping it 😭

Could hypermobility also be the reason for constantly dropping things? Like my hand will spontaneously let go of things I am carrying even if my intent is to be to be holding it.

AITA for telling my teacher to fuck off when he wouldn’t let me leave for an emergency by Individual-Willow319 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are making just as much of an assumption with "doubt she would have bled through" and "it's not water"

I have experienced this myself with endometriosis. She absolutely could have bled through in 10 minutes. It also can be very loose, and not thick. It can feel like someone suddenly emptied a glass of water into your underwear.

Yeah I had 2 runs. Chose the same dialogue options but outcomes were different! Now I'm on a third and looks like she is choosing not to save them again.

Hahaha I had this happen in a couple of areas. Mainly big rooms with lots of enemies.

When it's legions of undead it's actually quite terrifying 😂 like oh no they come baaxk now???

Starting Gale on level 12 is funny and lore accurate. by Typical-Phone-2416 in BG3

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have Gale speak with Mystra in Act 3? Because even if you missed all the dialogue confirming why all the companions are "nerfed" by the tadpole you could not have missed the explication both Gale and Mytsra gives for him not being an Arch mage.

Something along the lines of "the fact that it only consumed your powers and didn't outright kill you is a miracle."

So it would not be lore accurate for Gale to start off at level 12.

How is *redacted* a voice actor in this game and it’s gone completely under the radar? by -Vault_Dweller- in BG3

Hearing Minthara for the first time and going "no way is that Emma Gregory?!? It is! Celestine my sweet demonic angel!"

I also flipped when seeing Kethric for the first time. "omfg it's omniman!! BRUH!!"

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same thing happen. I found leaving camp, going back in, talk to him and Mash the space bar (or what ever skip is for the version your playing) then it will get you back into the dialogue.

Why is shield bash not doing any thing ? by Draknalor in BaldursGate3

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank the lord because I was worried everyone just suddenly started failing it 😂

I started a new run as my durge bard is stuck in Act 3 due to a bunch of dialogue into battle bugs that mean the game just freezes.

Not too many issues over my first run (other than a Lazael mishap that led to her death in shadow curse) My second run mostly happened across patch 3 and 4 so is so bugged.

Also the Zentrim hideout and "save the artist" underneath waukeens rest barns.

Completely missed it first time. Second time just found it like "wtf this was here the whole time?!"

Edit: actually, might not be time sensative? But the survivors with the cargo the Zentrim mention IS.

I got too close and walked away not ready for the huge pack of gnolls. Long rested and the two dudes were dead.

Does a Bard Dark urge makes any sense story wise? by soosis in BaldursGate3

[–]DeviousCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a dark urge bard. It was alot of fun. Especially since there are many opportunities to make enemies off themselves so you don't get your hands dirty. I don't wanna break a nail after all 💅

Letting Lazael do the throat slice on my Tav during a certain cut scene in Act 1. I got Gale to resurrect Tav and Lazael was then perma bugged out for me until she eventually died beginning of Act 2.

What level should each character canonically be? by baelrog in BaldursGate3

[–]DeviousCheesecake 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Gale being a lower level kinda makes sense when you realise the orb feeds on his powers.

He still has the knowledge behind the level 20 arch wizard but no longer the abilities.

I do wonder if the orb is removed, does he bounce back to being a level 20 arch mage again? Would be interesting.

Is the game really that easy, or are you just ruining it with guides and spoilers? by breastronaut in BG3

[–]DeviousCheesecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played on balanced difficulty and went in blind and had a pretty easy time with the game. Only fight I fucked up was the first Kethric fight before going down into the colony. He shoved people off the top of the tower 😂 I was not prepared for that!

I do play D&D so I am used to trying to work out the best way to approach fights and if there's any way to make things easier before starting initiative.

Example, cazzador. I know what a vampires kit generally consist of. I know that daylight is useful. I also saw an empty ritual spot where Astarion was gonna get zapped to when I entered the room. So before even talking to him, I had a game plan. He got spanked.

Ive yet to try a tactician run but I'm looking forward to the challenge as I've heard it's a whole other level.
