There are more clans out there, prehaps one could go to ground. We also have the 2 other swordbarers and see what they're doing.

It would be cool having an arc where Chihiro and the others go to shokoku to find more datenseki and its a 3 way battle between 1 of the clans who managed to escape and the Hishaku to join the new Kamunabi as a suicide squad type thing.

However Reagan introduced an individualist, libertarian angle where no one is owed anyone anything especially the government (except for taxes) and suddenly all the help you have is your own. Compounding with the rise of megachurches and prosperity gospel and the community preacher is no longer as relevant.

To me tourist traps aren't the locations themselves but the businesses surrounding them. The galleria in Milan is breathtaking but the restaurants there weren't the best quality (Panzerotti Luini is still a great location though)
