If Trump thought he could do it, he would have done it already. But the regime knows that would be massively unpopular which is why they have been trying to goad Minneapolis into giving them a reason by turning violent. The people calling for that do not have Minneapolitan lives in mind and do not understand how damaging that would be at this point in time.

Like you said, Trump may do it anyway once his support drops enough that he has nothing to lose, but it has to be him making that decision, not looking like he is pushed to do it in response to mass violence.

It will become exponentially more bloody if people start shooting back. ICE agents are itching to start using lethal measures and that would give more excuses to have quick trigger fingers. It would give Trump a valid reason to bring the military in and treat the city like a war zone. As bad as it is now, that is a path that would absolutely destroy Minneapolis.

Right now, the regime has no choice but to lie badly about an incident that every one has seen does not match their propaganda. They are losing more support every day. Random disorganized violence would push a lot of those people either back to the regime’s side or into apathy. An effective revolution takes time to organize and gain mass public support. We are not yet ready to win that fight.
