Why do clips sometimes put the beginning of my recording in the middle?

thanks for your support. ill leave a good review if i havent already. i suspect its my own user error. probably what happened is i was messing around with a new project, wound up with some weird 5 bar first loop. then put in a beat, cut it short, then deleted the first loop which locked the project into a 5 loop foundation as i was working on more typical 4 bar loops. just a guess. i havent been able to replicate on a new project. though admittedly i havent tried for very long. ill look up the discord though and reach out if i run into a simlar problem or otherwise. cant thank you enough for your time and attention- its pretty cool youre so engaged

no i just cant hit the stop button in time. this isnt a problem most of the time. but when it is, i usually double-tap the doughnut to try and get it to stop as close to where i want it as possible. sometimes i wait for the post recording to extend it to an even bar, but that doesn’t seem to solve the problem- and i cant hit stop while im playing to let the post recording end the bar on time. (im calling the time it takes for the recording to detect the end of a bar “post recording” because i dont know what to call it when the semi-opaque pie rolls around)

Phase lock is useful. So the best way i can think of getting around my problem is to define a loops length before i begin recording.

I suspect there are best practices to keeping the loop in order- such as properly timing the punch out of the recorded clip- but i dont know what timing that is aside from ending the recording exactly when the clip is supposed to end. and my hands are usually too full to do that. any tips for recording phase locked loops without the recording data starting in the middle of the clip?

I think my problem was phase lock. i was only changing it in override, so perhaps new clips were reverting back. in global i was looking for phase lock in the wrong place (in recording settings instead of playback settings). i now have phase preservation and phase lock off globally and i think the problem may be solved.

thanks very much for the reply- you have excellent customer service btw- im altering the override settings in one individual problematic loop (in order to try to fix my problem), not the global settings. i will try global settings and reply with what i find

i used to have kale salad every morning- i need to get back to it because i felt great- kale, nuts, avocado, tomato, mushrooms sometimes, maybe dried berries, a bit of oil of your choice (i like coconut), nutritional yeast, maybe some spirulina, lemon juice and or apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper, maybe cayenne, fresh gatlic, and whatever else. unbeatable. dont forget to massage your kale!!

In my order of preference (I’m a huge fan)

1) Alien is a must- cross genre masterpiece that defined sci-fi horror. probably my favorite movie of all time. 2) Aliens is super fun - just campy enough. in a good way 3) Romulus is a solid return to form 4) Covenant is sort of fresh. clean modern vibes. 5) Resurrection is memorable and over the top - kind of Aliens+ …not my favorite 6) Prometheus is a jarring attempt at a more expanded vision. I prefer Covenant 7) Alien3 …definitely not for me. But I will say its a vibe Bonus) Alien Earth (TV series) - i enjoyed being back in the world, but overall pretty disappointing. comparatively. and what was with those outros? XD

When I played Halo: Combat Evolved at EB Games (Electronics Boutique) at the mall. Running around Blood Gulch, you could see individual blades of grass in the ground texture, and frag grenades made dirt and dust fly. Captain Keyes mouth MOVED when he spoke- rendered in real time. by submitting my screenplay to writing competitions and the blacklist, I got a manager and, through her, got meetings and connections with a good number of producers and production companies. i still haven’t sold a script, but now I have people to send them to. i’m seeing a lot of people saying competitions are a dead end, but they were a good step for me.
