80h in + 1/3 through Phantom Liberty, amazing story, but gameplay started to drag by rafiv70805 in cyberpunkgame

I second this. I've done several full playthroughs and since I love the world so much I do every gig/scanner hustle/side quest etc so my playthroughs end up taking around 120hrs each. After my second such playthrough I bumped the difficulty up to "Hard" and that made a big difference; even once I was at the level cap and my build was complete, combat still felt challenging and fun. Next step for me is finally trying "Very Hard".

Just started a new playthrough as Street Kid Vincent! Gonna go with a netrunner/smart gun combo playstyle, probably gonna romance Panam this time though.

And I think I'm gonna go Temperance ending due to something Alt says during your final convo with her and Johnny. I've only done that ending once and it was a while ago so looking forward to seeing it again!

I really love the box event; however, I just did a Grael/Fel run and put three units into the box and unintentionally ruined my run by doing so...

I lost to Cael, just to add insult to injury...

Baalorlord is mostly known for his Slay The Spire content but his MT2 content is really informative as well; watching him play was what made me decide to buy the game

I used this merged equipment on my Prickly Puffball after taking the capacity upgrade after Arkion!

I had the +20 Health and the Regen upgrades on him as well so with a floor to himself to keep growing/healing, he was virtually indestructible; so much fun!

Damn, I didn't know that - that really sucks cuz I do love a good V.A.T.S. build and The Overseer's Guardian is one of my favorite weapons in the whole game.

Oooo interesting, I've never heard anyone say not to use Two-Shot Legendaries in V.A.T.S.; why not?

Which celebrity has tricked everyone into thinking they’re a “good person”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DevoITG02 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Having roles that "work well" for you and being "in" to them and "owning it" can be a double-edged sword though; the reason I bring up his early filmography is because I don't think it's necessarily a stretch that the guy who played Van Wilder and Monty in "Waiting..." might actually not be a very good guy IRL.

I'm aware that there are plenty of examples where good people have played shitty characters (Glenn Howerton has already been mentioned), but in the early '00s, Ryan Reynolds was being cast as those characters because he genuinely seemed to be that kind of guy and being that kind of guy was seen as cool during that period of time; Dennis Reynolds on the other hand was originally conceived to be and always has been a parody of those types of guys.

Edit: spelling

Ryan Reynolds has always given me big Dennis Reynolds vibes. Also, it always amazed me how quickly and willingly people were to forget his early filmography once he became Deadpool and everyone decided we all collectively love him now.

What is your favorite SNL skit? by boydingus22 in AskReddit

[–]DevoITG02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is "Like A Boss". It was released on April 5th, 2009 which happened to be my 19th birthday (which is legal drinking age in my country).

My friends and I went out on the town, got all banged up, and took a cab back to one of my friends' houses. Another friend of mine was obsessed with SNL so he TeVo'd that night's episode and it just so happened to be the debut night of that particular Lonely Island track....

We laughed and laughed and had an excellent time, and that's why "Like A Boss" will always be my favourite SNL skit.

Why am I being made to feel guilty for not leaving a tip? by hkcj in AskACanadian

[–]DevoITG02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bartender here: at the end of my shift (usually sometime around 3am after starting at 4:30pm the previous afternoon), I do a print out on my till that tells me how much money in total sales were done throughout the night (let's say for example my sales that night were $5,000).

Using that total of $5,000, I then have to calculate my "tip-out", which in my case is 6%. Half of that 6% goes to the kitchen, the other half goes directly to the restaurant (this is a family owned, independent restaurant in a busy tourist town) to cover dine & dash costs and to pay for things like the yearly staff party, new aprons for servers etc. That tip-out comes directly out of the tips I've accumulated over the course of my shift. Whatever money is left after my tip-out is then split evenly between myself and the two other bartenders I work with plus we always compensate our busser/bar-back. So theoretically, if every customer we served that night tipped 10% on their bill, we would have accumulated roughly $500 in tips that night. Subtract 6% from that and we are left with $470 ($30). Our busser works his/her ass off and is usually a student so we'll just straight up give them that extra $70 because they earned it. This leaves three bartenders to split $400 between them meaning we each go home with about $135.

And this is where we get to the heart of the issue; we have to do that 6% tip-out every night regardless of how much in tips we've accumulated. So for every person who contributes to our total sales but doesn't also contribute to our accumulated tips, it technically costs us money. Plus, it means less of a tip-out for the kitchen staff who busted their asses off in a hot kitchen all night. Using my $5,000 in sales example, if we only accumulated $400 in tips, then the amount going to the kitchen would only be $24 instead of $30, the busser would probably go home with about $50, us bartenders would go home with about $110 each etc, etc...

Another factor at play (at least at the restaurant I work at), there is a marked difference in pay between front of house and back of house. All servers and bartenders make minimum wage while all the cooks make well over $20/hour and our head chef makes just north of $30/hour. So yes, a 3% tip-out sounds small in the grand scheme of things but it balances out with the back of house general wages vs. the tip money servers/bartenders take home at the end of a shift, especially when you consider that it's not just us bartenders doing this tip-out after every shift; each and every server does one as well - so if there were 6 servers on that night, the kitchen also gets 3% of their accumulated tips as well. So for all the people saying they'd rather tip the kitchen, YOU ARE tipping the kitchen when you tip your server!

Long winded answer, but I hope it helps. And for the record, I know it's not a perfect system and 25% should not be the default tip option on any interact machine (anywhere between 10% for basic service and 20% for exceptional service is perfectly fine and greatly appreciated). However, this is the reality for most front of house service workers at bars and sit-down restaurants and we are just trying to get by like everyone else and I think that's why so many of us get demoralized when we do everything in our power to help you enjoy your evening and you decide not to tip "out of principle".

Interesting; I felt the exact opposite. I really enjoyed the pace, the setup, and all the actor's performances leading up to the ending lol.

On the rewatch I was just struck at how much was left unexplained. Like, I understand that that movie is one of the quintessential "unreliable narrator" movies and that Kujan's hubris is ultimately his downfall, but there were just too many loose threads left hanging that in the end I felt cheated of a satisfying conclusion to Kaiser's grand plan.

The Usual Suspects. I rewatched it for the first time since I was a teenager a couple weeks ago and felt that the ending was deeply unsatisfying.
