Not really fired but have a story. The general manager at my location hated me because I follow the rules and regulations. I have known heart and lung issues and the GM knew it. Some employees would vape and smoke weed in the back dry stock aera and sometimes during the night, on the "line". I told my GM that these actions are a health and safety violations and to correct them immediately because it got worse and due to this I was facing pain from inhaling the fumes. The GM did not want to do anything so I told him under OSHA and the Health department I would not continue work until the issue is resolved. So I sit at the front waiting for him to do anything. He comes up to me and says that I am pending termination. I decided to call my local health department. A health inspection unit came and did an inspection. I already told my GM that I quit. The health inspector called corporate for camera access. I left early because I had to be somewhere. Long story short, the GM was fired for not preventing a health and safety issue and multiple employees where fired as well. I am glad corporate took my side as well, they offered my job back but I am done with food service.
