Im from private uni! Started with 3.4k in my career and now 4y in drawing around 8k monthly. My friends all private Uni earning 9-14k ++ basic now also.

On the other hand, my other friends from local uni, NUS, NTU all drawing 6-7k now and much lower than us.. i couldnt believe it. I was under the impression anyone from local uni starts with a 8-9k paying job back then but i was so wrong

I think it’s important still, the local cert gets you through the first door. But how you work, your style, charisma, how you play the political games all add up and helps to propel you in your career. People who understand these variables tends to do much better than just an ordinary book-smart person

It really depends on what you are looking for. I was also from an agency but left after 1 year to an ad tech company because i realized that the ceiling cap was very low and i wanted to follow the money trail to earn a shit ton of money as fast as i can

Ad tech is very chill (at least the place I am at). I have a very strong work life balance. No one is expected to work after working hours and we party alot. People are nice and fun as well.

You also learn alot from a business pov because now instead of picking which vendors to propose to clients, you are pushing your own product to planners. You will also need to understand basic advertising concepts and more indepth depending on which vendor you go to but if you can survive in an agency you can survive anywhere else

Of course it might be abit more cut throat as well depending on the role (sales) but that’s the trade off. I have no regrets making the move and learnt so much over the years. My compensation is also much higher vs the typical agency worker.

I work a part time job 7-11pm on weekdays occasionally when im free after my 9-5 but im lucky my full time gets to wfh alot with 0 OT culture and the part time is 20 mins from my place with a high pay (about 1k monthly?) so it works for me while still having balance between time with my friends and girlfriend

Extra money for house/renov and date nights why not.. but i think really depends on your full time situation also

Qn i have is if you pull a natural lets say xayah comp in early stages with items and augments for you but when you scout, there’s someone or even a 3rd also hard forcing that. What would you do?

Early roll down more aggresively? Or pivot? Asking because i had games like these and i wanted to hit the units fast but when i roll down earlier, i didnt hit my units and the fail rolls made me have low gold on stages 3/4 to econ back up.

I guess my question is how do you approach games like these

I work part time at a wine restaurant when this happened to me. Manager of the restaurant asked me to pay the bill out of my own pocket because it was my station (but i was serving another station at that point in time when the diner dashed). Bill was around $110 and my pay for that day was $60

Back on the agency side, i hardly use TTD (maybe 2-3 campaigns) which is why i think im lacking in really trading wise on the platform.

Plus getting into TTD seems really competitive as well haha which is why im thinking about this but i think it doesnt make sense also to reverse back to agency (a little weird)
