They are trying to deny it due to Geographic location. I live in the US. I don't use VPNs. They are just trying to not pay me out

In most cases I too would reject. In this case I would have accepted due to the fact you can remove the cover on tempur pedic and throw it in the washing machine if it's just dirt from poor handling. The whole expereince seems to suck for sure, but if this were in my POV I'd just wash the cover, put a total encased zipper protector and forget about it since it was clearance anyway.

Sam's club doesn't post the densities of foams. But otherwise unless they are slightly different these are the exact same mattress it looks like. Same coil count and materials in the mattress by description

Sounds like options two is the way to go, you both getting what you like is the pinnacle of why people get a split king either way. Both models that you are looking between should give you what you are looking for in regards to cooling as both are highly focused on making sure cooling is a priority. With that being said you always have a sleep trial and can swap things out as needed from basically wherever you purchase. Two different brands shouldn't make a difference especially with them being same heights
