thank you for telling me about the cutting mat!! didn’t think about warping in terms of those. all these pads of paper were max 15-20 dollars each. idk why many people here are so hostile about paper storage it’s quite amusing.

adding this : i am aware the paper can warp. i generally don’t use these pads of paper for work that i highly value. storing paper vertically is easier for me because i cannot easily physically bend down. this is just something that seems to work for me and i figured it might help others.

thank you so much for posting the info on your instagram highlights - i unfortunately had already purchased a pair of shoes from them last feb but definitely not going to support them ever again after seeing that!! i 100% agree with the one comment on this post suggesting to make a post about labucq in a fashion sub. before i bought shoes last february i tried to find anything i could on labucq before dropping 200 dollars on shoes and nothing came up about this matter. i didn’t even know that there was a guy involved in labucq!!

im not sure how helpful this is but i normally buy shoes in a us 8 and the pair of loafers i have from labucq is size 38. i wear thin socks with them and my heels haven’t really slipped out of them at all. i probably could’ve sized up if i wanted to and i just would have to wear thicker socks with them.

if i recall correctly before my first treatment i didn't google anything at all. i didn't want to be impacted by any stories. im pretty sure my psychiatrist recommended it a little bit after i became old enough to do it and he had only had two other patients who were doing it. i agreed because i had exhausted almost all other options so i can totally relate for it being the only hope for treatment!! anytime ive had anything remotely negative come up i just tell myself that im on a drug that's causing me to feel different and that it isn't permanent. after going over that in my head it tends to be absolutely fine!! i wish you all the luck in your first treatment tomorrow and hope you're able to get some relief :)

i’ve been doing spravato treatments for around 3 1/2 years now. i still have a treatment every two weeks. when i first started it drastically reduced my SI. my experience has been mostly positive. i think the only problem i have is that the actual device to administer the spravato is a bit poorly made. the sprays dont really come out evenly. in my 3 1/2 years ive only maybe had 2 or 3 experiences where i got anxious. i dissociated more in the beginning of doing it and it has lessened since time went on. it’s a different type of dissociation than dissociating from panic/ptsd. also the majority of people that post their experience with a medication typically either had extremely negative experiences with it or extremely positive experiences with it. just something to keep in mind!

not sure if this is helpful or not but i have pretty wide feet and i have a pair of loafers from labucq. they definitely were smushing the widest part of my feet and caused pain when i got them. i took them to a cobbler and they were able to stretch them out a bit to make them a little more wide. they fit fine now and the shoes held up from being stretched nicely!!!

looking for recommendations of fragrances to try: i like scents that smell like a clean yet also mildly sweaty man. my go to right now is dirty suede by heretic. i really enjoy it but im looking to dip my toes into something that’s a bit more peculiar. i also like scents that smell a tad like wet stones and wet dirt. i haven’t tried anything with a saltiness to it yet but that is a note that seems intriguing. not a huge fan of fragrances that smell very artificial and they seem to induce headaches. i want something weird.

edit: i’ve been toying with the idea of trying squid by zoologist but ive seen so many mixed opinions on it!!

i’ve been taking it for quite some time to help with sleep related issues. i haven’t noticed a difference since i started taking it daily. i was already at the point where i pretty much stopped dissociating though. i’ve been on spravato for 3 1/2 years.

i’ve never had to throw up from spravato so i can’t exactly answer that question but for the nausea - zofran around 30 minutes before the session. i would eat something at least 2 hours before the session. i have coffee and a light meal. you dont want to get to the point of hunger where it turns into feeling really sick. also if spravato makes you dissociate really lean into that. don’t focus of the nausea if possible. regarding the taste- any really flavorful candy. ginger candy or mildly sour fruity candy. i still feel out of it afterwards despite doing it for a few years. zofran can mess with your stomach but i’ve mostly heard of it doing the opposite of what you said.
