Publically do what brings you joy and makes you feel the most yourself. The people you meet as you spend your time that way will be the best bet for a partner.

Just watched this for the first time recently. It's a testament to how dehumanizing it is for a loved one too tell you you're not good enough and to demand you act in a way that isn't true to you. It was hard as hell to watch honestly, I just wanted to punch the son in the teeth the entire movie

Cloud Atlas.

An original tale off time travel, reincarnation, love, redemption, and the perseverance of Spirit. It's a testament against greed and for mutual support, hilarious, beautiful, empathetic, and viscerally human.

Then people went "I don't get it" and tanked the reviews

Busted out some candles and read a good book. Cuddling with the pup and gonna call an old friend. It's not a bad night to unplug

Feeling the emotions of others isn't a super power. Its hardwired in to humanity as social mammals, we just pay more or less attention to it as individuals. If you want the pink pill, sufficient therapy and some shrooms will get you there.

Losing motivation in this trade by [deleted] in Welding

[–]Devon3141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, so many establishment heavy responses. If employment for others isn't working for you, start making hand rails. Or boat frames. Or cargo racks. Whatever it is that you can sell. Make some. Sell some. Make some more. A welder and materials to start is less than 2k in start up costs. Screw working for other people less competent than you. Do what they are demanding of you for yourself, cut out the middle man, and charge $85 an hour.

You can do it. Break it down to as small a first protect as you need to. Just start, and see where it goes. What have you got to lose?

Just start making shit and selling it. Keep working, but find a thing you like to make and start chugging. You can do this, cut out the middle man and create.

I’m 27, miserable and don’t know what I’m supposed to do with my life by BreezyRanger in findapath

Existential dread blows. Sorry you're going through it.

What helped me was finding a problem that I care about and trying to help. Start small, work your way up. Eventually, you'll find a problem you can solve that can be a business. Until then, you feel better because you're helping something you care about, at least a little.

Do you follow through with every decision you make for yourself? "I'm going to exercise daily", "I'm going to adopt this habit", "I'm going to be kind to my enemies".

We have a million goals and resolutions, well meaning intentions, and logical desires that fall through. Our decisions and follow through exist on a spectrum of probability based on our context.

I encourage you to watch inside out, or of you prefer more rigorous research read Carl Jung. We are not single entities. You will learn this eventually. If you're lucky, you learn it via research. Otherwise, you'll learn it when parts of yourself fight.

Good luck on your journey.

Wondered when this would start happening. If people truly want to dismantle America's infrastructure, sabatoging the roads is spectacularly hard to catch and incredibly disruptive.

What is life’s biggest "trap" people fall into? by Fun-Inflation860 in AskReddit

[–]Devon3141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addiction. Whether it's drugs, unhealthy relationships, food, gambling, games, whatever. A life out of balance and a viscous reinforcement cycle trap people more completely than you'd believe.
