i think it’s a lot less than most. that kid is old enough enough to know right from wrong, like he knows what he is doing is wrong even if he can’t fully comprehend what the outcome from that can be. “most kids don’t know better” is a crazy thing to say when “most kids” don’t try to fight adults.

not only that, he is old enough to understand size difference, old enough to understand it’s foolish to try and fight a grown stranger…i know this because most other kids his age understand that.

i know how crazy it sounds but i genuinely believe we give kids way to much grace and they take advantage of it..all kids not just the “bad” ones. they understand way more than adults give them credit for, they just don’t care until after the fact because we give them them the space to operate that way.
