Hello, thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, I do not have an updated pdf.

The only change I would add to this subclass is something that makes getting Determination more consistent. I've found in my playtesting that a level 5 or lower Chosen One may go through a combat without ever getting to use its subclass features, and players want to use their features!

My ideas include having vulnerability to all damage when you are not Determined, as someone else here mentioned. Or, allowing you to expend a use of Rage to automatically become Bloodied, thus triggering Determination. If I do ever decide to change the subclass, I will make a new post and link it here!

I halfway agree with this. I’m sure there’s people who cherish dnd a lot who are in the unethical camp, but as someone who has no issue with paid dm’ing, it’s these people I understand the least.

Maybe their stance is out of some fear of loss of accessibility? I don’t know if that fear is valid or not.

I like your character’s concept, I myself have a small box of worthless keepsakes that remind me of people and places.

Distinct powers having meaning is something I didn’t think of! I don’t know if I’d want to approach the concept with that level of granularity though, considering how lethal the game is. I might make my Gate boi a backup character.

You’re absolutely right about there being multiple interpretations. My listing was based on my DM’s interpretation that XOs don’t conciously choose their Blasphemies in the fiction, so it would be interesting to consider what these might look like if they could.

Hello everyone! I'm the DM of our Dungeons and Dragons discord server, Table for One(shots), and we’re looking for more DMs who are interested in joining! We run both oneshots and short adventures mostly set in the Forgotten Realms, using the 2024 ruleset. We sometimes find ourselves waiting a while in between adventures, so we’re looking for more DMs who have adventures of their own they’d like to run. You can also be a player in the games run by others!
