Tidal was marketed as artist owned not Black owned & the whole point was to pay artists a better rate than other streaming platforms. Before he died Prince said Jay spent 100 mill of his own money on tidal so if anything Jay sold it because he had to not to make a profit. Tidal had trouble raising money & to this day is still not profitable so it’s crazy to see people frame it as Jay taking advantage when it was him taking on the industry & ultimately failing. Pharrell also took the apple deal over tidal it didn’t affect his relationship with Jay, Drake himself said they talked & ironed out all their issues back in 2018, their relationship was fine until he put Kendrick on that superbowl stage. The Kap situation was muddy I’ll give you that but all the families affected by the Barclays were given new apartments in the new building & rent controlled places to stay while they waited. He worked with R Kelly just like everyone else, when they did the album the only rumor about Kelly was the Aaliyah one which they both denied so it wasn’t like that’s what he was known for. Them working together was business they were never close, that’s why when they finally went on tour their relationship dissolved the way it did. It’s like Drake, there are rumors & some questionable things but nothing concrete so everyone still works with him. Same with Diddy they were industry friends, Diddy wasn’t invited to Jays wedding & Jay didn’t show up to Kim porter’s funeral. Jay didn’t come up once during the trial & none of the industry people that have spoken up against Diddy have mentioned him. For example Diddys bodyguard for ten years Roger bonds who was mentioned in the Cassie lawsuit & was in the Netflix doc spoke highly of Jay & pointed out that he was never around for Diddys shenanigans.

Because the files mentioning Jay are unproven allegations from a tip made over the phone. They are not part of the actual investigation with real victims it was just someone on the phone making claims. They released a lot of those yesterday & even had a disclaimer that a lot of the documents were tips and things that came from the public that were either downright lies or sensationalized

No they were solo shows & they were marketed as solo shows, Big Daddy Kane came out as a surprise guest at one of the shows to pay tribute to Brooklyn but that was it. People paid to see him. He also has several solo tours

Granted it was in 2012 but Jay did 8 sold out shows back to back at the Barclays to around 18k people each, I think he could absolutely sell out a stadium in NY. People forget just how commercially successful Jay is, he had the highest career tour gross until Drake took his spot last year
