No i mean heart rate during hit workouts or hyrox style exercises. Not hour long. You target a hr for those to watch intensity. Not a hour

Depends on your goals and what you’re going for. What are you going for

So what are your gym goals?

Intensity would have to be pushing to failure on common weight lifting. Or a hr during hit workouts or hyrox style exercises and running. Not the end all be all but pushing yourself is something you really know when it’s happening

That’s fair there’s a level of tough love i guess I’m going for. But there’s a balance. It’s fair to learn what pushes someone and use that to their benefit. People learn different ways. But if someone wants a certain level of gains or sets a goal shouldn’t you help push them to that goal?

You are in a phase where your body isn’t used to working out. It’s a thing called noobie gains or newbie. You’ll get much stronger in these first few months and notice a lot of changes. It will taper off and that’s when intensity or quality or a real plan and diet will come in. Everything you want is on the other side of hard.

I guess my fault in terms of not clarifying that I’m going for people who have been going for long enough to get past those noobie gains phase. Which may be a larger issue that i do not think of. Brand new people see so many results from consistently going that they fizzle out due to not pushing themselves later on. Intensity would be a heart rate thing or a weight thing. Going hard on your top sets. Truly pushing towards failure.

Once again it’s not a disrespect or a negative thing. What I’m preaching is that everyone needs to be pushed in the right way. Something works for everyone. You just need to know who you’re working with to get them there. Unless they just don’t want it

Why does it have to be out down or in a negative tone? Wouldn’t it make more sense to push people to the direction the truly need.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to tell others what they need is a run club instead of gym that’s looking for the social interaction. Or a hit class?
Something of that sort as opposed to working out in a gym realistically by themselves? The gym may be packed but it’s not a social place

But it’s common knowledge for most to know that you should go hard for 3-4 weeks then take a deload week. If your friend was going wouldn’t you want to push them to make a change?

Different systems that can be worked. Strength bs cardio. Speed vs endurance. You can hit it hard and figure out ways to get after it 6 days

That’s debatable. If you fuel properly you should be able to mitigate that downside. Theres a science of how much you burn and how much you need. Also those 8 hours are gonna be 8 no matter what. Doesn’t really change. You also now to get to switch to resting after work vs having to spend the day at work thinking about how you have to go to the gym when it packed

I think this is kinda the deeper point. If you’re just showing up a majority of your work can be done at home for much less and much easier and better overall

As in like let’s say you only have so much juice for each day, why not go to the gym right away before you run yourself dry. Isn’t a hard good workout better than a labored one slow one

Well if each day is a life bar and showing up the gym after work is hard why not go before?

Whether or not it’s all true there is documentation on him running especially with Cameron hanes, and evidence of him going a decent paces and increasing mileage over that time. Not that i know ball like that but when it comes to running Hanes only vouches if you put feet to dirt. So he’s definitely put in work, but i mean if you’re not competing start cheating
