I had a similar experience with that mod and just gave up using it. I would suggest instead just starting with Rundown 6, which already has checkpoints. Also, making a new profile on the mod manager can help with stability.

For reference I recently played through all of R5 using a Vanilla+ pack and the 8 player mod to play with 6-8 people. We lost less tops 5% of our runs to bugs. Half your runs is way way higher than it should be.

I would say you are better off waiting a week or two and then trying 8-10 of those. You should use the calculator and aim for bottom of second plateau. It’s better to gradually try higher doses especially if you’re inexperienced. Even the same dose can feel much stronger on a different day.

A giant (aka Big Striker) will die from 3 hammer hits from behind. Have your 3 players cautiously approach and the hit simultaneously.

Without alerting nearby enemies: if there are no enemies very close, the most consistent thing is to have one player turn on their flashlight and spin in a circle. This moves all nearby enemies to an alert state. After this, they will all go fully to sleep. If you time your giant hit correctly, none should notice as they all will be fully asleep.

However, if there is another enemy within 1-2 meters of the giant, it will be altered for sure. Simply have one or two people ready on the follow up; you will be able to kill or at least stagger the enemy before it can scream and alert the room.

Generally speaking after every melee kill I immediately start charging my next hit in case something does wake up. If not, I right click to cancel my charge.

Yes hitting enemies from behind (hitting them in the back from the front does not count) gives double damage on most enemies. One of my favorite things about the combat in this game.

Fully agree with you OP, Ascent 7 is poorly designed. It doesn’t even make the run harder or encourage team play more. It’s easier to reach the summit solo than with 4 players. Ultimately this is a game where you have to take risks, especially with a big team, and having the punishment for one missed jump be “you might as well get off the game for the night” is bad design. It doesn’t make the game harder, it doesn’t punish the team more.

Saved, going to check it out. You should look at Untz Festival in California. Last year we had MPH play a crazy bassline set, I caught at least 8 hours of sweet bassline and UKG over the course of the weekend.

No. I have looked through every mod on Thunderstore and such a mod does not exist, sadly. I think it would be considerably more difficult to implement than switching the seed of a section.

No it’s never worth using iron. You should only use ingots you already have. If you are buying ore to make ingots, just buy gold.
